I live in Orange County, and have been to both Cabazon and Carlsbad outlets in the last 3 weeks or so. I went to Camarillo last year, but haven't been back since.
I like the Cabazon outlets the best, the Coach there is the largest. They also have a lot of other stores- Gucci, Space (
Prada and Miu Miu), YSL, Michael Kors, Tod's, Off 5th etc. The Tod's has amazing deals- I got a tan tote there last time for $450 that retails for $1250 (end of winter sale). I also really like Michael Kors- bags are about 50% off. At my last visit though they still had the same bags as 6 months ago, so I'm not sure that there is a lot of turnover. The Off 5th is fairly decently sized, but the one at the Block in Orange is much bigger (this is close to Fountain Valley, where you are staying)-- They had Kooba, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, etc when I was there last week. I would go sign up for coupons on the 5th Avenue website- you can opt for Off 5th, I had a coupon for 30% off from them last month in e-mail. Carlsbad also has Coach- but it is much smaller. They have BR, Gap, etc. as well.
I would strongly recommend visiting the website for the outlets before you go. Sign up for the e-mails, and you will be able to print off coupons. Print them for each outlet you plan to go to, and print a couple of coupons for the free coupon book (you and your daughters could each get one for each mall). I also like to print off the listing of stores and the map. When I arrive I go the the mall office first and get my free coupon book, and I also have the coupons that were only available on-line. These coupons are AMAZING! Coach is never included, but a lot of other places are. This weekend in Carlsbad I used coupons for 15, 20 or 25% off at Gap, BR, 15% off at Samsonite, etc. I easily saved $75-$100, and I didn't even buy that much.
