So. Cal. Outlet Shopping - not just Coach

I've been to the Cabazon outlet several times (on our way to Disneyland) and the Coach outlet there is great! I've always walked out with a bag or two. I also find a bag or two (even three once) that I love at the Furla store there. Definately check that store out! I don't know if you like D&B but they have an outlet there as well. It is in a strange spot in the west side of the shops and you can only get to it from the parking lot (which is behind the stores on that side of the shops).

I live in Orange County, and have been to both Cabazon and Carlsbad outlets in the last 3 weeks or so. I went to Camarillo last year, but haven't been back since.

I like the Cabazon outlets the best, the Coach there is the largest. They also have a lot of other stores- Gucci, Space (Prada and Miu Miu), YSL, Michael Kors, Tod's, Off 5th etc. The Tod's has amazing deals- I got a tan tote there last time for $450 that retails for $1250 (end of winter sale). I also really like Michael Kors- bags are about 50% off. At my last visit though they still had the same bags as 6 months ago, so I'm not sure that there is a lot of turnover. The Off 5th is fairly decently sized, but the one at the Block in Orange is much bigger (this is close to Fountain Valley, where you are staying)-- They had Kooba, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, etc when I was there last week. I would go sign up for coupons on the 5th Avenue website- you can opt for Off 5th, I had a coupon for 30% off from them last month in e-mail. Carlsbad also has Coach- but it is much smaller. They have BR, Gap, etc. as well.

I would strongly recommend visiting the website for the outlets before you go. Sign up for the e-mails, and you will be able to print off coupons. Print them for each outlet you plan to go to, and print a couple of coupons for the free coupon book (you and your daughters could each get one for each mall). I also like to print off the listing of stores and the map. When I arrive I go the the mall office first and get my free coupon book, and I also have the coupons that were only available on-line. These coupons are AMAZING! Coach is never included, but a lot of other places are. This weekend in Carlsbad I used coupons for 15, 20 or 25% off at Gap, BR, 15% off at Samsonite, etc. I easily saved $75-$100, and I didn't even buy that much.

I should add that when I was at Cabazon a few weeks ago, and at Carlsbad this weekend, they both had a few pieces of Signature and Legacy. I bought a white legacy bag at Cabazon (same day as my Tod's- my DH really spoiled me!), for $225. Both places were have 20% off everything in the store while I was there. The crowds were crazy!

i purchased my first coach purse in Barstow, Ca, and they have other lovely shops there, including Wilsons Leather and Gucci... my ex lives in barstow (i live in maine) so i say DONT GO! but ;) go cuz there's cute purses :P the Coach store isn't huge, but it's nice none the less. if you go PLEASE check out Wilson's Leather, no one seems to know bout them or like them!

Do you Barstow or Cabazon? The reason I ask is that the Gucci outlet is in Cabazon not Barstow.

hmm, i live in Maine and went there to visit my now ex boyfriend.... i thought they were in the same area... i could be wrong? coach, and gucci, and a kitchen appliance store (i'm a dork) are the stores we went in... Ralph Lauren was also in the same plaza... heck i could be wrong but i thought they were all in the same general area... i think there are 2 parts to it as well? the larger, connected, closed in outlet mall part, and another part that looks more like a plaza which is where i remember everything being... dunno... sry :P i DO remember Wilsons being in the larger part of the outlet... i'll get a hold of my ex and repost when i get the details!~

Thank so SO SO much! I had no idea there were coupons for any of these places or coupon books for the outlet malls!!! This is so great. The girls have their own emails so we can all sign up for this stuff.

I have been to the Off 5th at the Block - it is great. I was there last month on a trip for my oldest daughter (Rollercoaster trip for school - Knott's, Disney, & Magic Mountain). While the kids were at Knott's I went to the Block! LOL

Besides the coupons on the websites you can also get a coupon book if you are a member of Auto Club. You just show your card at the customer service office and they will give you a coupon book. I miss the day when Coach was in the books.

You're welcome Robin! I hope you have fun, I LOVE going to the outlet mall! When I was in Carlsbad this weekend they were having some great sales, especially at Gap and BR- it was fantastic! I also had great luck at the Cosmetic Company store- I bought WAY too much Bobbi Brown  (and I had a $10 off coupon- that made it even better)

I wish Coach was in the coupon books as well. Pretty much none of the really high end places are either (eg- YSL, Gucci, Space, Burberry, etc.) Cole Haan is in there, and they also have great bags.

Vicious Bliss- That description doesn't sound like Cabazon to me- Cabazon is in the middle of a desert with a tall casino next door. There are technically 2 outlet malls there, a small strip mall and then a much larger outlet with 2 areas, both are outdoors. One is a large round area with parking in the center, the second is one straight area with only pedestrian walking in the center. Maybe you were in Barstow??? I've never been there, but I have heard really great things about that outlet.
