Thank you tealocean. I look forward to seeing your bag collection when you do post them. ! think the Drifter is a super classy bag. Absolutely timeless in it's design. I've seen the Drifter in grey. It is stunning! I always loved Coach. I especially like the direction they have taken. I love the Rogue bag, as I mentioned before. I am a lot older than you and don't work outside the home anymore. But if I did, I would definitely buy Coach's Rogue bag..maybe even the Tea Rose edition of that bad..which is gorgeous IMO. I am just starting to collect bags too. I only bought one Dooney. I was not attracted to it because of the style but because it is so unbelievably functional. Every time I use it I think how much I love it. Dooney is known for their excellent quality and, I believe, it is true. They are not on the same level as Coach or Michael Kors when it comes to style IMO. With Dooney it seems to be all about the leather and craftsmanship. The bags are said to last so long you can hand them down to your grandchildren. I actually gave my granddaughter an older Coach bag..the type with their original matte leather. She is only 10 but she was excited to get a real bag. Joining this forum and watching reviews on YouTube has infected me and now I have full-blown bag obsession. I have a wish list of 4 bags!! In my prior life that would be about a decade worth of bags. I told everyone who gives me gifts what I'm going to want from now on :p

I have a small Margot carryall in a true red as well.
It looks exactly like OP's first pic - small buckles and a leather turnlock keyholder.
I think it's MFF but I'll double check when I get home. I think it's quite classic, I've had it for a few years and it's worn INCREDIBLY well. No wear at all except for small scuffs on the feet (which is what it's supposed to be for, so no biggie). The leather has gotten a little softer (in the front and back because I have it as a crossbody against my hip) but it is still very structured.

Since you mentioned their leather quality I checked out the Dooney site and will have to see some of them in person.
I've noticed the Coach Rogue is extremely popular here, and at first glance I didn't get it. Now that I've seen it modeled I'm starting to get it, and I imagine it's also beloved because of the beautiful leather. I need to try one on and touch the leather. The only thing I don't love about my new structured Coach bags is that the leather is not buttery soft. If I could have both structure and great leather it would be the best of both words for me. I've been a function over fashion girl most of my life, and now I am trying to learn how to have both! :smile: I had another baby in my 40's, and I'd previously used a backpack for a diaper bag, but with this one I was given a Coach Signature Stripe baby bag, and I loved having something stylish-even if it was covered in C's. He's a preschooler now; so I don't use a diaper bag, but I still carry that one as a travel bag. I really appreciate the current tiny metal Coach logo and that there isn't any logo at all on the Drifter except on the removable tag. That must be adorable seeing your granddaughter with your old bag! Which bags are on your wishlist? One I really want is a Coach Parker style (like Chanel) for special occasions. The brand doesn't matter, but I will be waiting until the Parker is marked down by at least half or I find something else in that style. Other than that, you know I am looking for a dark teal medium sized bag that is just right. ETA: Your asking for purses as gifts is exactly how I've gotten all my new bags! That's all I got last year and all I want this year!

Miraku, I didn't realize the one with the turnlock keyholder is MFF. I got mine from 6pm.com in Cerise (deep red-pink) . The new MFF ones I have have a soft suede-like lining and hangtag (no turnlock) and the leather is slightly stiffer. I love that little turnlock tag and wish they all had them. Does yours have that suede-like lining? My Cerise one does not, just a stiffer fabric. I'm excited to hear that the leather has worn well! I love this style so much!

Mine is also a stiffer fabric lining.
I don't know how to explain it but it's like... stiff cotton and you can see the lines running through it? I think it'll be pretty durable though!

Yes, that's how my lining is on the one that I believe is FP. This one came with a silky dustbag just like my other FP. The code is 87547e svajn, but the code on the ones I bought from the Outlet begin with an "F" and have the suede-like lining. Do you know if that is correct that the codes that do not begin with "F" for factory are FP?

AFAIK from reading other articles about it (and by visiting the outlets), the outlet ones do start with F.
Sorry I've been away from this, I will check my bag tonight and let you know if mine with the stiff fabric lining + leather keyholder is F. :)

Alright, checked my bag. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the code. Where is it? It's not on the creed patch, and the little black tag just says Made in Vietnam.

Mine has a logo plate (instead of individual Coach letters) on the front, leather turnlock, small buckles on the handles instead of long sewn-on attachments, dogleash clip closure (some online have a wide leather snap), and small round button feet.

Look inside the lining. You may have to turn the pocket inside out to find the little tag. Oh! I saw pictures of an older style with the dogleash clip, and probably decadent leather! They switched to a piece of leather with a magnet that holds it closed. I find this bag so adorable! I wish they had it in my favorite color! I keep hoping to find one in teal.

@DooneyDog did you get your Edie, and what did you think? I just saw some in the online outlet sale today, but by the time I realized, most of them were gone, and I am so confused by all the sizes! I need to see them all side by side or how they compare to the Lexy sizes since I love the regular and small Lexy but the large is awkward on me. I hope you're enjoying the Edie!

Yes I did. I returned it because I just didn't like the quality. I'm guess I'm getting spoiled by the substantial leather products produced by Dooney and Bourke. The Coach outlet sale is still going on. It ends in 3 or 4 days. Lexy, the forerunner of Edie, is on sale for 70% off..Now $105. I almost bought the grey but bought an Italian leather satchel by Dooney and Bourke instead, Let me know what you get.

I'm sorry the Edie wasn't great quality, but that is wonderful you found another bag with better leather! Which color is your Dooney and Bourke? I've never seen an Edie up close in person. I'll have to see if I can spot one out and about and without staring too much. :nuts: DooneyDog, they had my dark teal Lexy for $117 in the sale, and I missed it! They also had the chain one in metallic dark teal, but I resisted because I know the chain will make the bag too heavy for me, and I'd rather wait for the regular dark teal. I do like the metallic dark teal and have a mini Christie in that, but for Lexy I want the non-metallic version. I have no idea how metallic wears. I ordered the dark teal Small Kelsey. I have you to thank for pointing out the Kelsey to me! Thank you! It was "amost gone" and my order still hasn't shipped; so I hope I do get it after all. This teal color just makes me so happy. I wonder if they'll have another sale for President's Day and add back my dream bag Lexy or Small Christie in dark teal. (That one also sold out before I got on the sale! I should check my email earlier.) ;)
