My mother and I went to Cartier a few weeks ago. My mother has a few love bracelets, but has always been interested in the JUC
bracelets.

She was looking at the SM and Classic version, and the Sales Associate told her she recommends the Classic, because she said the SM may not age well, due to it being hollow, and could become a different shape over the years. I love our Sales Associate, but is this her just wanting to sell the more expensive item or is this a valid concern? I just wanted to see what everybody else thought.

Thank you.

I take mine on/off daily, sometimes several times daily and have slept in it. Based on my personal experience and reading almost no issues like that here, I'd say the SA wants her to buy the Classic for other reasons, maybe personal preference or higher sale.
The only thing that is relatively common, but still not "common" imo as it rarely comes up, is accidentally flipping it, which is easily just flipped back!
While not my priciest piece it is one of my favorites, I love it!

I’m sorry, I should have clarified, she meant over the years it may become a different shape due to it being hollow and being scratched and banged around, eventually chipping away at the gold and causing the design to become warped. I’ve personally never heard of this.

I’ve never seen anyone here report this, and it’s not my experience.
I’d buy it all over again.

I've had mine for 3+ yrs and I've caught it on clothes and never once had it bend or change shape. I wear it 24/7 and it still looks new. Sounds like the SA was trying to get more commission.

My SA prefers the classic too. I think I know what she means - it has more presence and it’s weightier. It’s prob personal preference- a flexible bracelet makes people weary. With that being said, I went between the two and opted for the classic but I would buy both if I could. The flexible offers a dainty look and an easier way to take it on and off and not feeling the “weight” if you’re sensitive to having too many things on your wrist. I say go for what you like!!! My SA always tells me what she prefers but will say what looks better on me.

I have the small and wore it happily for a year. It’s light weight and very comfortable. Then I got the regular size and now I never wear the small, and tbh it kind of feels cheap now compared to the regular size. I was surprised how my perception about the small changed once I got the regular 🤷‍♀️ that said, I’m going to keep it just in case I want to go back to wearing a daintier version.

I really love the look of the small diamond juc ... but I'm hesitant as I'm worried after hearing it's hollow and light weight.

Also do you feel like it's just the JUC people buy because they can't afford the regular JUC ?
Do you think people buy it due to preference or due to it being more affordable?

I think it’s probably both. Some buyers want the daintiness and lightweight feeling of the small (but could afford to get the regular if they wanted to). I’m sure there are others who would love to get the regular but can’t/won’t make that leap in spend (13k from 5k is quite a jump). Bottom line, who cares? Buy what *you* want.

I want both 😂 that's why I'm hoping someone or something can sway me towards one or the other. I don't think I can pull off two .

I have both (2 smalls and a regular) 😂 I don’t wear the smalls very much since I got the regular so I’m selling the one with diamonds (I prefer the JUC without diamonds strangely enough…I was dead set on the one with diamonds but when I tried them on I liked it better without 🤷‍♀️). Knowing what I know now I’d just get the regular.

I can't decide between juc regular plain or diamond . I love both . But couldn't wear both . I love diamonds i love sparkle. But I also love how the juc plain yg looks it's so shiny and pretty . I also don't know if the diamond head version would be too in your face for casual wear .

I think it depends a little on your wrist size and if you would like to stack it.
For me personally I prefer the small version stacked (I also think it looks very pretty and elegant worn alone!), the regular looks great as a stand alone statement piece to me.

With regards it being hollow and light, it is and there are a couple of people who have accidentally bent theirs.
However there's also a few people I've heard of that have had problems with the regular, either too loose at the hinge or the catch has come undone by itself, so it's swings and roundabouts.. at least with the small it can't fall off of your wrist and so far (touch wood!) mine hasn't caused any problems at all.
Either way I do have it insured against damage, loss etc as I'm a worry wart!

I saw a photo where someone had fully snapped the small version which really shocked me and put me off. If it were solid I would 100% buy the small version even if i also bought the regular version .
I'm so torn between them .
I love how pretty the small version looks stacked with dainty bracelets ( i love dainty bracelets ) but I also love the regular as a stand alone piece or stacked with a love bracelet. However I also wanted to build a kylie jenner style love stack ( only with 4 or 5 how she originally had them before she went ott with them )
I need more arms !!!!
