You definetely can...but I think it takes away the clean line. Funny you mention The Edge - I have it, but I don't feel they are anything alike. Getting into The Edge is a one stop process, you don't need to unhook the zip to get in.

Funny that you have SdJ! It is a very serious handbag - it is a substantial piece....tell me why you bought it? Did you think you'd use it a lot? What surprised you about it? I've looked at it a lot...and I like the clean lines...but I don't know...just didn't set me on fire and for the $$$, it so should!

Here's a challenge...I need a black crossbody bag...am thinking of the Pillow bag from BV...have you got further suggestions?

I have an Uncle in Düsseldorf - he keeps telling me to come visit as it is beautiful....

You are right- the only thing that the Edge and the Wave have in common is one handle and a zipper ;) I have never seen the Wave carried unzipped....I def must see it - the blue suede one is tdf!!!!!

I purchased the SdJ from mytheresa and used it quite often in the first time.
Mine is navy and I love the simplicity of it.
A few month after I got the bag I got a new bike and since that I do my grocery shopping with it and prefer bags with shoulder strap.
I try to carry it once a month that poor thing....

Hmmm....only cross body or may it have handles and with zipper closure?
My bags mostly have a cross body option and the cross body's have a flap
The pillow is nice but small -in that size.....Proenza Schouler has a nice cross body PS1 or the PS11 , Mulberry Alexa, Marc By Marc Jacobs has a few the Celine Trio - as an investment the Hermes Jypsiere:cool:
Düsseldorf is very nice - and a paradise to go shopping:p

I bought one like the blue tote recently in a different colour, it was called the "Note tote"

This bag is gorgeous, and I am really interested in it. I usually frequent the Marc Jacobs forums, but have always loved the look of Tods bag. I am here trying to be more educated on the styles of this brand. The Bauletto is really one of those bags that has caught my eye. Can it be worn on the shoulder?

Bauletto, depending on the size can be carried on shoulder but it's typically a top handle bag carried in hand or on the crook of your elbows. But I wouldn't look too much into it since that style is retired and can only be found at outlets for the most part. They have a new version of it called the D-Bow which is essentially the same bag but you can't unhook the zip from the body.

Another style on the way out is the Cape. I'm disappointed that they're phasing it out because it has so much potential to become a classic piece but I guess with their new handbag designer its just not her aesthetic for the brand?

The Wave is one to look out for though. It's becoming more and more popular since they introduced it. So many people in fashion have been carrying this bag and its new variations are so great! I want one for myself but I haven't decided on a color or size.

Once at the mall I prevaricated and was driving myself nuts! I walked pat and saw it in the shelf...wandered on...and back and went in. And the bag had disappeared off the shelf!!!! I nearly died!

The SA said it was the last but she'd ring around etc etc...(I wasn't holding out hope)...and then....voilà.....she pulled my bag out a cupboard! Turned out that another customer had put it on hold...she rang her and the lady was happy to let me have it....so I did it.....

What do you think?

Your D-Styling bauletto looks beautiful. I love the slouch on both ends! Do you mind posting a mod shot and your height?

I'm 5'7", medium built and I'm undecided between piccolo and medio. We don't have Tod's in my area also so I'm relying on online pictures.

The SA says the piccolo has length 13" x width 6.25" x height 8.5"; while the medio has length 15.5" x width 6.5" x height 10".

I don't want too big a bag as it won't be my daily wear bag and bigger bags tend to look TOO casual in my area. It will be for dates with the hubby or dinner out with family/friends. I prefer a handheld bags with the added option of the longer shoulder strap if my hands are busy.
