Did you get yours secondhand?

I'm from Australia and as far as I know we have no current stockists, so if I wanted to try to find anything specific, I'd be out of luck!

The store only had pebbled leather versions in black, pink, purple and brown. The purple was actually quite similar to the brown, believe it or not!!

I love this bag because it's so solid yet so discreet. Have accepted I'm not comfortable with big logos.

Any other Tod's lurking in your closet? I have 2 pairs of shoes...

Yes, I got mine on Vestaire Collective but it was almost new
I already had the D- Styling in black, but in this color it seemed to be so hughe...
No idea why
This is my 3. Tods - the other two are the 24 hour shopping in nude and the new Miky in grey but I'd love to have a pair of these shoes with the rubber ' nipples'

I'd love a Miky too!!! If I get one I'll have to order via the Internet...it's annoying not to have this stuff available locally. Do you have a pic of the Miky?

I have a pair of driving shoes with a thick sole and sandals also. I think you are thinking of the moccasins available in all colours of the rainbow? I look at those and I don't buy them...I think because once the black points are worn down then what? You can't resole them? And they are too $$$ to only wear for a short time (admittedly I'm a little hard on shoes..)

I have the same problem- I live in a very small town in Germany and have to purchase everything online!
Doing the research for the right size or color is sometimes a hard job...

Yes- those moccasins are the ones!
I think Tods made them for car drivers - so those black point will not rub off when you do not walk in them.
Not very useful for 'normal' people...that is the reason why I still hesitate to buy those...

The Miky is such a nice bag- will take a picture later
I love bags that Han be handheld AND be worn over the shoulder!
I use to wear it a lot in summer- with lighter colors

Are the European brands more expensive in Australia?

Here's my girl!!!

Once at the mall I prevaricated and was driving myself nuts! I walked pat and saw it in the shelf...wandered on...and back and went in. And the bag had disappeared off the shelf!!!! I nearly died!

The SA said it was the last but she'd ring around etc etc...(I wasn't holding out hope)...and then....voilà.....she pulled my bag out a cupboard! Turned out that another customer had put it on hold...she rang her and the lady was happy to let me have it....so I did it.....

What do you think?

Beautiful bag!!!!
Do you mind if I ask where you found that on sale?

Hi!
Well - it's the scarcity. There are such few places to buy and they can then hoik the prices up - and they do!

Premium brands like Celine, Dior and Chanel are very dear....probably some of the dearest pricing globally despite price harmonisation.

In Melbourne we have several Burberry, Prada, Jimmy Choo - but now no Tod's, the label has been discontinued at the only department store that was stocking it (bags, not shoes)....but the selection obviously isn't varied and here you can never score a 'deal' as supply is so limited....

I guess it's the same for you if you live regionally as there is also limited opportunity to buy - you'd have to go to Munich? Berlin?

I have also noticed that my bag can do crossbody and I love having options!!??

Yep - I'm voting no to the moccasins - get a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo Varinas instead..those are awesome!!!

I am not shure if there is a Tods Store in Colone or Düsseldorf- but I think there is one in Hamburg - 350km to drive:(

Have you ever seen the new Wave Bag?
The medium one has a shoulder strap what I like- but is it big enough for me?
And how does it look like on a 1,80m tall person?

Here is my Miky- it is the older Version of the bag- the newer has round handles.
Unfortunately the weather is so bad and it is so dark outside so I had to take a pic inside under missing light ....

It's fantastic!!!! Sorry to hear the weather is bad...I've just arrived in Phuket today and it's dripping hot! The Miky has staying power!!!

The wave bag....is that the bag that wraps the ends from either side on the end? Or is it the one that sort of looks like a backpack front on? I checked that one out and immediately dismissed it - simply ridiculously difficult to get in and out of! The other reminds me a little of the Sella bag...I feel it's a little...hm....trendy? I think it could date? But that's just me! I didn't go for the Sella either....

Yep, 350km is too far to go shopping! I envy your height...I'm a measly 160cm 🙁

Ps - I'm going to google the wave bag now...

This one?

Nope not a fan...the zip has a press stud at either end to stick it to the back to create that silhouette...it means it's a two step process to get into the bag.

1. Detach zipper from bag
2. Unzip zipper
3. Hand catches on zipper as opening is narrow

IMO the design is not organic for use but it's built for aesthetics only. Have you tried it?

E x

I agree!! I think you need to have a play with this one.... I'd love to know what you think after having seen it in person. It's also a quite a rigid bag, no slouch at all like the D-Bow.

What about the Flower? I'm torn on that one. There was another style...what about this one?

The Wave could be nice in a popping color- like red or orange or in suede....:graucho:
and I saw it in beige with red edges...THAT was beautiful!
I am not shure if I Like the flower bag- may be as I have never seen it in person?
Sometimes I see a bag worn for the first time and WOW THIS it THE bag- although I had never spend them a second view in a store...
The blue one has a lovely color- the style is nice - what is it?

Yeah - I agree - nothing wrong with the aesthetics on the Wave...and it is very striking, but I'd just get too irritated with the process to get into it. And I don't like the zip not pinned down...

The Flower I liked when I first saw it but I like it less and less. It's quite a heavy bag and I feel it lacks structure. When viewed from above it has a centre compartment and two smaller compartments. It's a hand carry....I think this bag is also made in umpteen iterations and so there is a wide variety of materials available. It looks like a 'fun' bag, but I'd not invest in it.

I don't know the name of the tote - I found the pic on the Tod's website and in store they had a striking emerald green version that was gorgeous!!!! This bag is very structured and will not soften a lot. Reminds me a little of the Sac du Jour from SLP...but not as heavy and not as enormous. It's got real potential....I forgot to check if it comes with a shoulder strap, but it zips at the top. Lovely bag....its base narrower than the D-bag so immediately it feels more formal...more like a Kelly, perhaps? [emoji6]

Turns out that Tod's has an airport store in Bangkok.... I'll be passing through there in a week, so.....

E x

May be you can let the zipper unzipped- like the Celine Edge....but this is def. something that has to be found out.....
The other thing is the size-...

The flower is too similar to a few other bags I have,
but this tote you posted .....
I have the SdJ - the large one from the first generation and it IS a monster!!!
But I still love it too much to sell it, though I never use it.

Just found out that there is a Tods Store in Düsseldorf, which is not too far.

Airport stores are so dangerous:D but may be they have the Wave there and you could
play a little with one ...
