yep toothpaste totally works. I use to clean all my Tiff & co jewelry with toothpaste but I've noticed that though it's excellent in getting rid of tarnish caused by oxidation, but it won't give you the luster n shine of unworn silver. I think using the polishing cloth is the best idea. Use toothepaste and a very soft toothbrush only you don't have a polishing cloth around. I don't believe in the chemical dips - bought two kinds and neither of them work.toothpaste works like a charm on my tiffany's charm bracelet. go for it, if its safe for your mouth its safe on the silver. I use to clean all my LV speedy locks too. its so gold after that.
