everyone has a different opinion. I am not fond of the signature collection anymore. I was for awhile, but now prefer leather bags. Does that mean your bag is tacky? of course not. People spend alot more money on gucci and LV signature!!!!!!!!

If you love it and it works with what you wear, keep it! (i returned my whiskey hippie for the shoulder bag, too heavy, too long for my petite frame). Not everyone will love it, but that goes for all bags. I have people telling me balenciagas are out of style, doesnt bother me, I LOVE the bags!

First of all, I do like your bag and if you like it, you should keep it. It definitely goes with a lot. My thought on the Legacy line, however, is that it is an anniversary edition tribute to their first bags which were leather. (signature line was not part of the original Coach line). In other words, they are "bringing" back the leather look that made them famous. But whatever bag makes you happy when you look at it and carry it is the one you should keep/get.

:yes: i don't have anything signature except my very first coach hobo bag.

everyone has diff. opinions. mine is that leather is better, with a few exceptions. but that depends on the bag, the size of the logo, and the logo itself of course. some bags look better in signature then leather.

and if it's black, i wouldn't worry so much in signature because you can't see it that well anyways.

I just ordered the khaki/ebony hippie bag as well. I cannot wait to get it. I think that it will be a great casual bag. I have the whiskey leather in the shoulder zip and I thought that the hippie would be a great different bag with a totally different look.

Enjoy it. I cannot wait to get mine!!!

Personally, I prefer the leather bags, but that's just me. As for it being trendy, well almost everything is a trend, isn't it? It's all about what's right for you. How someone wears a bag might look tacky on someone and look great on another person. Wear the bag, don't let the bag wear you!

I too debated on whether to keep my legacy signature shoulder bag ( I got it with the khaki and black trim)or return it for the whiskey.
I ended up keeping it. It goes great with every thing , the only thing I wouldnt wear it with is anything semi formal or formal, and for that I would carry a small evening clutch.
I can wear it with brown, black, red..almost anything. It looks great and is classy with just jeans and a sweater or dressed up. You can always add a solid scarf to the bag for an extra punch of color or to tie it in with what you are wearing.

I’m 40 something and I been buying Coach for over 20 years now. I own and love both signature and leather styles. Coach was my first love. They say you never get over your first love. So with that said…purchase and wear what YOU love and don’t worry about what others think. Happy Holidays and Happy New Years to ALL.

can't believe i haven't commented on this thread!

i'm actually returning my hippie in black leather. it's HEAVY for a cross body bag- and that's just when it's empty. if you love the hippie, stick with signature. while the leather is lovely, it's just too heavy for *this* bag.

I am for the Leather Legacy! It seems a lot more durable and I think it looks a lot classier and timeless - but that is just my personal opinion. I am sure you will love whatever bag you choose!:yes:

Anyone know the dimensions of the hippie bag? I am just curious; I don't really like cross body bags unless they are canvas messengers. They have to be super lightweight if they are going to be pulling on the shoulder/neck like that.

I ordered the Legacy satchel in leather. Love the way the leather looks and feels, and it doesn't seem that heavy to me. It's easier (for me) when it's a hand-carried or elbow-carried bag.

I think you should stick with what you like and know will work in your wardrobe. It won't make sense to return your bag, get something because of what someone else says but then not use it. Do you love it? Then keep it! Does it make you smile? Keep it! I think it looks fabulous! Congratulations!
