Show your unique (non-diamond) rings :)

This is my fav non diamond ring, but only because of the history (well and I think it's beautiful and delicate). My grandfather was stationed in Italy during WWII and found this ring on the street. The center stone was gone so he just put it in his pocket and carried it with him for the rest of the war. When he came home, he put it in a box with other random items he had come across. 70 years later, I found the box and asked my grand mother about it, abd got the story. The ring itself at that point was black it was so tarnished. I took it to an antique jeweler and said I'd like to either have a topaz or a peridot put in the center. It took him about a month to find the perfect sized stone because of the setting, there wasn't a lot of room for different sizes. I've been polishing it weekly for 2 years now and think it's amazing. Oh, and what look like diamonds on the sides, I've been told are just glass chips. I would love to know even more about it.

Wow! All of them are fabulous!!!

I saw this ring in a jewellers window and looked out for it every time I passed because it was so unusual and emeralds are my favourite stone. Then one day it was gone  A few months later I went into the jewellers for some mundane reason (battery for my watch I think) and it was there in a case :wtf: I said wow you still have it!! Promptly dashed out, raided my savings, and bought it  That was about 15 years ago.
