It looks like it is in fantastic shape! It looks like she didn't use it much.
This Coach belonged to my grandmother. I can't capture the true golden color though. View attachment 3417694
Does it have rings on the sides to attach a strap? She usually carried Aigner bags, I don't ever remember seeing this one until my mom gave it to me. It's a clutch so maybe she only used it when going out?
Coach made similar bags that came with long straps that attached on the sides with clips; those are called basic bags and they are very common. The zipper pull doubles as a wristlet strap. When you say 9 x 6, do you mean the dimensions of the bag? Coach made a slim clutch that looked like yours that was 11 x 7 x 1, and a larger version that was 13 x 9 x 1. These are fairly rare.No it does not, just has a small strap like a wristlet. The zipper is bigger than what I usually see. It's about 9 x 6. View attachment 3418298
I used a measuring tape, it is 11 x 7. Before I was guessing. Also the wristlet strap cannot double as a strap.Coach made similar bags that came with long straps that attached on the sides with clips; those are called basic bags and they are very common. What I meant was the zipper pull is a leather loop that can be used to carry the purse on your wrist, like a wristlet. It looks that way in your picture. It is a slim clutch standard #9560 from around 1981.I
