The Bal bug strikes again... but I have also sold one! (the gorgeous very pale grey goat leather one that I loved, but was too paranoid to use!)

Anyway, here's the new arrival - City S (small - new size in between regular and mini) in calf leather. It's thicker and has much more texture than lamb skin Bals, but is still lightweight. The texture actually matches my small classic grain Mulberry purse quite well, but that's a happy coincidence!

Beautiful bag, Skater... I can see how thick and lovely the leather is from here! And the silver hardware really pops against the black. Congrats on your purchase... wear it in good health!

I feel like such a traitor to Mulb & Balenciaga lately ( they've been my 2 fave brands for a long time) but this dang baby had to join my collection[emoji51][emoji4][emoji23]View attachment 3607219
New 17 pre spring season calfskin WOC with so black hardware
Scrumptious bag, Kendie! I love the chevron pattern.:heart::heart:
Does your phone fit into it? I keep wondering if I need a WOC in my "bag wardrobe" but the thought of hand-carrying my phone always stops me.

thanks kindly dearest Elaine!! I also adore chevron, heck I'm pretty much addicted to it! Yes, my iPhone 6+plus easily fits inside....I totally get what you mean w/ that aspect (it's my only gripe when I use my Mulberry mini Lily)....I didn't think I'd like the WOC at first so I held out for a long time but I'm thrilled i took the plunge as I totally love them now. They are great to pop into a larger totebag for work or if traveling....very versatile. Please do let me know if you try one!! xoxo:flowers::wave:;)

Hey, wondered who would be first to get the small city as this really created a buzz on the Bal threads

Do you have your first still? Does this hold the same as that?

Hey Lou!

I sold my First pretty quickly - love the shape, but I just don't get on with bags that don't have long straps... and unfortunately the Bal clasps are not easy to remove and replace like the Mulberry ones.

So I moved on to the Town (x 2! [emoji41]), but recently sold the gorgeous but too pale one, and decided to try the City S.

Haven't used it yet but having tried it on, I like the size - in Mulberry terms it's smaller all round than a Lexy, much less boxy than an SBS, and probably holds slightly less than an SDR. Will try to do a comparison for you!

Measurements are 30cm wide, 20cm high and 10cm deep (maximum, at the base - it tapers towards the top)

I haven't removed the strap off mine, just added a long chain to it, works perfectly well for me ;)

A trunk wow.
I ab love L.V. and have been very good and not bought anything for ages just for this cover I hope its worth it. [emoji28]

Bless you, sweetie; it's great to "see" you again!
Yes, this particular lady was the LV queen: I recall seeing LV everywhere in her house - she even had her Westie kitted out in LV collar, lead, coat, bed, travel case etc! She then donated him - complete with his entire LV wardrobe - to an animal shelter!! [emoji15]
