That's what I like on here, we all love MK, but have our own styles we prefer. But also find other styles which we like along the way.

I do love pink, I have large Selma in deep pink. The deeper pinks like yours and mine, are so great for all year use.

OMG what u said is sooooo me! I love my pinks. Almost all my bags are pink or purple, and two black, have just bought a cherry Selma messenger too. But this jet set bag in raspberry just doesn't click. I had always wanted a raspberry because everyone raved about it, but like u, now I know I prefer my fuchsia as well. It was my first MK and I love it to bits.

You're right, it looks boxy. I don't like that either. Fortunately, I only paid AUD $115 for it, and I will eventually sell it for a profit on the bay. I always buy bags at a bargain price, which is waaayyyyyy more than what people pay in the US. But it's a good price for the Aussies so I sell them here.

Am in the same boat as u, in UK we end up usually paying a premium price for our MK's and even in the sales it is difficult to snag a good deal. US ladies are very lucky with their amazing shops and sales. Again for me to import them with custom charges and shipping it wouldn't work out a bargain buy, what I would save would be minimal.

I get some good deals on ebay and in our TK Maxx but not in the UK main stream department stores, or their online sites. I haven't paid full price for any of my bags, I think that is why I have amassed the amount of them I have!

Well done you for getting good deals.

That cherry Selma sounds stunning.

Sometimes I buy a bag only to sell for a profit. E.g. I bought a black large Selma for $260 shipped from Bloomingdales and will sell it for $430, already listed on eBay. I have sold a medium for $450 before so I know it will sell. Takes time sometimes but the wait is worth. Cherry was full price but Bloomingdales was having a 15% off plus I had a 20% off code. It ended up being $250 which is not a great deal but not a bad price. Can't wait to receive it, it has cleared customs but taking long because of the holidays. I thought it would come today but now will have to wait till Monday. Sooo excited.

I also bought this jet set crossbody in raspberry but returned it. It's too narrow couldn't fit my sunglasses case then I bought the Selma medium messenger in raspberry instead perfect size for my essentials

Yes, that's exactly the problem with me. Fits everything but my sunglasses. I don't keep a case, just my glasses in a cloth cover. But then, I carry a small water bottle always. It's usually quite warm here and I get thirsty quick glance The bottle fits just fine. If I didn't have to carry the bottle, this could have worked for me.

I got my first MK on Christmas Day, unfortunately I didn't like it (large jet set pocket tote in black) just wasn't me. MK bags are so common up here and I didn't want something that everyone else has, but now I have looked online and in store and I can now appreciate the hype. I have now ordered myself the Selma messenger bag in Navy... Managed to get at half price too! I think this could be a partnership in heaven haha x

Am glad that although u didn't like the original MK you got that you have found a model that you like. The Selma messenger is a lovely bag and navy is such a classic colour and what a good deal.

Welcome to the world of MK. To me it doesn't matter if lots of others have MK, I like to see them as it gives me ideas for what I want to add to my collection and shows what good taste other ladies have. After all this is what our MK threads on here are about enjoying each others company and sharing our love of the bags.
