I appreciate the advice. I have numerous Hermès Carré books and trawl the net regularly, so have an idea about design names... Just not the colour story pictured above.
It's not important... My intuition tells me my wife will love it, so I ordered it regardless. ;)
Hi there - Glad to know a sweet gentleman buying gift for his wife. Hope she will enjoy it.
Yes, twilly does have colorway to each. When one mentions colorway, there are colorway number (S##), see the last two digits in the Reference code, for example: http://usa.hermes.com/woman/little-...figurable-product-061643s-38699.html?nuance=1
and colorway description (rouge, blanc, bleu, etc.). Based on your photo, I would suggest the colorway description is Tourterelle/brun (dove/brown). Tourterelle is the milk coffee background and brun (brown) is the bolduc.
And no, it fails me to locate the colorway number for this exact one as no database really keeps track of twillies.

My blue cordages twilly on my Victoria bag. I can't decide if I like it tied this way or not. Love everyone's twillys - especially on the baby goat:p

This looks cute on your Victoria- would you mind posting instructions on how you tied it?
Hello ABlovesH - glad you like it, I was wondering if it looked odd. As far as tying it, I've enclosed a photo of the "inside", and I believe this is how I did it.

I took the twilly, and put it behind the handles with the bag in front of me, and with the twilly tag facing me. I then wrapped each handle once around from outside the handle towards the inside (if that makes sense) and back out towards the front of the bag and slid it down to meet the bag. At this point both ends of the twilly are hanging in front. I then tied a loose knot, and fiddled with all the parts until they looked neat enough for me. I was worried the tag would show, but it's easy to hide.

I hope this helps - I have tremendous admiration for all the creative people in this forum who not only tie things beautifully, but can also describe it so the rest of us can try it! It's not very easy to describe things like this.

Use my Graff twilly as a shoulder strap for my Pico MM. It's just like wearing a Lindy 30.
