lvpiggy!! Thanks for the illustration and companion video!! Great idea and extremely helpful! Would you be able to do a companion video for the rosette twilly??

indeed! I shall add that to the to-do's, although I admit illustrating the twilly flower is most definitely beyond my limited drawing capabilities (>(oo)<)`

The credit on this one really goes to sydspy!!!

I was going to go into Claude at Madison Ave to see if he could make me a canvas shoulder strap for my Jypsiere, so I could wear the bag as a shoulder bag as well as a cross-body.

Some people suggested to use a 90 carre but I couldn't bring myself to spend over $400 on a scarf (with tax) just to use as a handbag strap.

sydspy suggested doubling the strap of the Jypsiere and tying a Twilly on one side to hold the strap to the bag.

After weeks of the idea stewing in my head (and no time to test it out), I finally had a chance tonight and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this look! I thought I'd share it with you all. I hope this gives you all other Twilly ideas, or for you Jypsiere owners, another way to wear a fabulous bag!

pretty! I wonder if I can do that with my kelly . . . :thinkin:

I'd imagine you can also do this with the Kelly strap!!! And the Kelly is a much lighter bag so the Twilly tie is more likely to hold it. I am concerned with my Jypsiere that when I actually take this look out of the house, the Twilly won't be able to handle the weight and untie.

Did you try knotting it before you tied the bow? That might make it more secure.

unexpectedly came across the aqua/anis/vert fleurs de lotus yesterday, just hanging out on a display rack! naturally, piggy adopted it immediately and brought it back to the pigpen for a little playtime! (^(oo)^)

what better twilly than the fleurs de lotus to star in the long-promised twilly flower video? :D

please note that I did the flower in the video with the bag and flower facing away from me in order to capture the video without blocking the camera with my hands. so, it's a little messier than usual (>(oo)<)` In fact, I think there's a part near the end where you can see I momentarily forget which tail I'm supposed to be working on . . . whoops! who knew hands could convey such confusion? :p

regardless, I hope this is helpful to those who would like to make their own twilly flowers! As you can see, the rearrangement of the petals is key to making a nice flower shape, which is probably why the original written instructions weren't very helpful. do let me know if you have any questions or if you get stuck!

and here's the finished product (^(oo)^)

These are great ideas, everyone!! I've started an Ode to the Twilly thread, since I think the Twilly deserves to be in the clubhouse, too.

Would you please post some pix (or would it be OK for me to post some of these pix) in that thread? :flowers:
