hi ladies! sorry for the slow response, finally had time today to take some photos & put together instructions for piggy's twilly flower (^(oo)^)v

twilly used here is the "bolduc hidden" that comes with the clou de selle twilly ring set

ONE
thread one end of the twilly through the circular end of the post, where the lock is supposed to go
attachment.php

TWO
pull halfway through, to where the care tag is located, and loosely tie a single knot
attachment.php

THREE
take one of the loose ends, give it a twist (like one turn of a corkscrew), bring it over the top of the knot before tucking it through the knot's center. pull until you have created a small, twisted loop
attachment.php

FOUR
repeat on the other loose end. continue to repeat, alternating ends
attachment.php

FIVE
when you have only enough length left for one new loop on each end, new loops, tuck the "tails" underneath the knot in opposing directions through the circular end of the post to secure, then fluff / arrange your flower's petals and you're done! \(^(oo)^)/
attachment.php

PS - this also works well on bracelets (except the classic enamel bangle, the flower most obstinately insists on circumnavigating almost continuously!), chokers, as a brooch, etc.

PPS - don't let the watermarking alarm you! piggy = the luxe junkie, so there's no image thievery going on here! (^(oo)^)v

Super clever!!

glad everyone enjoyed the twilly flower tutorial! (^(oo)^)v

here's another variation on the theme: piggy's twilly fleurette headband, made here with the l'air de ginza twilly!
attachment.php

just tie the twilly 'round your head with a single knot, then make small twisted loops like you would for the normal flower. the ends can either be left loose as "leaves" or tucked under the band and secured with bobby pins (^(oo)^)`

Love the headband rose!

Does anyone worry that your hair will make the twilly dirty? I have highlighted hair and have to use moroccan oil on my hair to keep it from becoming frizzy

cloneesha, you have a talented hubby!!

lolakitten, your DD is so adorable and the Twilly belt is so cute on her! :tender:

Cari284, how pretty! Great photography too

lvpiggy, fantastic creativity and fabulous step-by-step, many thanks :flowers: The headband idea is so cute, and looks so chic on you

citgirl, I would have thought that the oil stains the Twilly, unless the hair has fully absorbed it. Oil makes handwashing tricky, but if you don't mind sending your Twilly to the drycleaner, go for it and have fun.

LVPiggy- I am just amazed at your talent! I love the rose and the rose on the headband
is just beyond gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing this with us!
