it's been a while but I'm happy to add to this thread with my e-ring from Leon. I am over the moon in love with it! it's the 811 which is almost identical to the Harry Winston micro pave setting. We bought the stone from Leon as well.

centre stone is Oval, 2.51 carats, G, VS2

thank you swanky! I've long admired your ring and enjoyed reading this thread (drama aside lol) for inspiration and dreaming of my future LM ring. I hope there will be others posting!!

I unfortunately didn't have the chance to meet him but he was nice with me on the phone and helped give honest advice about stone selection given my wishes and budget. the stone he helped us select is gorgeous. the pics don't do it justice. sparkles like crazy and no bow tie which is a common issue with ovals. I told him from the beginning I'm trusting him on that bc my bf is not into details and thinks all stones look the same. lol.

after that my bf met him and basically took over from there. my bf said he was always nice with him.

I did send him a thank you email after that he never replied to but apparently that's the norm according to another LM client I know. lol. so I'm not gonna take it personal.

again, I love Leon's aesthetic, I like stones being set lower for example so there really wasn't a need for back and forth bc I knew I wanted exactly the 811 setting. I did ask will there be pave on the shank and donut and he kinda dismissed me and said he would handle things with my bf except they never went over that. cause Leon told my bf he knows what I like don't worry. lol! in the end yes there was pave all on the setting like I wanted so things are fine.

I do think if u are very specific in what u want and it's not a good mesh with what Leon does then by all means find someone else. that's what I've always felt when I read comments about him. u need to love his work bc then whatever he makes will match your tastes. otherwise it can get tricky.

Here are my ering and band from Leon Mege.

Beautiful! Congrats again!!

the string theory band. It's gorgeous but I can't seem to capture that in the photo. It's made with full cut diamonds (although he did recommend single cut for the small melee for broader flashes); I chose full cut to match other smaller pieces that I own.

Beautiful!!! I am considering this band to match my e-ring. Did he say how much more expensive single cut would be? I wonder if it would make that much of a difference since the band is so thin. My e-ring is full cut melee as well.

I am also eyeing his pink diamond string theory band too!

The single cut wasn't much more. We didn't get the price, but it's probably just a couple hundred more. He said the stones are only $10-15 more than full cut to replace if I lose one. Ame (another tPF member) said that she wasn't a fan of single cut because it's more like old european cut. I value her opinion and wanted it to match my other pave pieces, so I decided on full cut. Also, I am not a fan of watch diamonds (I just don't see the sparkle) and those are single cut. In hindsight, I wish I would've had him send one of his videos (I call them "sparkle videos") comparing the two to make a more educated decision. I think that I do prefer the glitter of full cut vs. the broad flash of single cut. I may stop by next time I'm in NY to see them in person. I want to make a RHR stack of string theory bands now. :-)

ETA: your ring is absolutely stunning!!!!! Love it!!

thanks for the info!! in that case I think full cut is the way to go for me too. please do post if you get more. they are definitely made for stacking! I want to get at least two. heehee. [emoji6] are you thinking to get different colours?

Instead of getting different colored diamonds, I'd like to get regular diamonds in different colors of gold (i.e. rose, yellow, etc.). Warning: these rings are addictive!
