He's pretty silly  Very dry sense of humor and witty. He totally prefers to do quotes, hence the mini Cooper comment. His work isn't at all overpriced a la Tiffany's IMO.

Agreed! Does anyone wear a spacer between your ering and band? We are thinking of 3 row pave so I'm wondering what it looks like!

To anybody that went to see him in person, did it take you 6 months to get an appointment? That fact makes me not want him to make my ring... Especially if he makes the ring in less time. I dont know why but I feel strange about it. Just wondering how long it took for any of you who went in person!
Ps- if it really is 6 months then I won't be seeing the ring in person, we aren't waiting that long to get engaged!

Hello, I actually sourced my diamond through Leon so I did not have to wait for an appointment (in fact, I met with him to design the setting even before we paid for the diamond). Your situation seems odd to me. Are you sourcing the diamond through him or someone else?

I had only asked him on Facebook, just wondering how long it would take thinking we could go at the end of April. But then he said 6 months is usually enough time. We haven't decided yet where we will get our diamond from.

I have met with Leon several times, and he's always just told me to contact him once I'm in NYC and then we set something up within a few days. I'm not sure if this is his usual operating method, but it has always been my experience. Also, I did not source my stone from him, and don't think that that should make a difference. Good luck!

No, my experience was nothing like that. I was I NYC for 4 days, contacted him when I got there and he saw me the next day.
Use his contact form on his website instead, I bet he gets lots of "can I come in?" requests that aren't serious.

Although a little hiccup (ie breakup ;)) happened before we could follow through with the whole process, Leon is amazing!

I rang him one day, spoke with him for a few minutes (lovely gentleman) and he passed me to the other gentleman who helps source diamonds. In the span of one hour, I already had loose diamond choices in my inbox. I have no doubts in my mind that the process and finished product would be nothing short of amazing. I will have at least one of his pieces one day. :smile1:

HTH!

I guess he just said that because most of the people on Facebook don't seem serious. I wanted to see the rings in person first but I don't think he works like that. My dream ring is the Adrianna 811 with an August vintage cushion. I just worry what I like online and other people is different on me!

I would suggest calling him and talking it over and planning a visit there if you want to check out his stuff in person. I know we're all about email/FB/texting these days but I feel like old fashioned phone conversation really helps.

Good luck deciding on your ring. :smile1:
