And the leather on the vintage. Oh my God, the leather. The smallest of those three (the one that I added the purple hangtag to as well) ... that's one of the real old-timers, made in New York City. Well-conditioned, the leather is ias perfect as ever, and literally the thickest leather I've seen in any bag, anywhere.

Agree. My best bag before I got into higher end was a Coach Willis.

Oh reeeeeally? I had no idea. I do want to get a "bowler-style-over-all-shape" bag, but didn't think I necessarily wanted a Speedy. I'd been thinking either Burberry (ie. Allchester) or Gucci Boston. I had no idea those Rocco's had straps too. So that's definitely in consideration now too. The leather looks really nice, and there's something about those studs in *rose* gold. Thanks for the info!

I don't have a lot of black bags. Of those I do, I prefer them to have a contrast color or be textured. Here is one to start with. It's a basic small Fossil shoulder bag. I'll post more later at another time.
