Hello everyone,
I have finally after five years got and picked up my 35cm Togo B in black with GHW today. It was such a relief to finally get it.:yahoo::nuts:
Then at the store I decided to put my name in for a shoulder birkin in a happy colour like blue jeans or the new orangey red colour (can't seem to remember the name...)
What do you think? I was told that the shoulder birkin is much lighter and even harder to come by...sigh...and more expensive too!
Do you think it is an easy bag to shoulder carry and must I be taller? I am only 161cm.

Darling I'm 1.65 and believe me in my experience this is the best bag hems has ever made it is beyond comfortable beautiful very sleek and well designed and just one. Of the best I have ever had !!!!!!! And i have to say that the look and possibilities this bag has are so many it's a chameleon.. That said there are many threads on the subject that have lots of the useful info you seek.

Congrats on your new birkin my first was black and gold swift 35 and I loooooveeeee it enjoy in the best of health all the best birkel!

I like the shoulder Birkin, but there are definitely mixed opinions on it! It is heavy, and at 42cm long it is also surprisingly big. It does, as the name suggests, sit on the shoulder, but in my experience (and maybe it's my posture!) it doesn't necessarily like to stay on the shoulder. The best idea is to find one and play with it a little to see how it works for you.

So true mindi , it is defiantly a love or hate bag personally I adore it but I have heard just the opposite . so darling this is good advive find one and try it on though I must say don't judge it on a store try out because this bag molds and becomes much more of an arm piece once you wear it and find how it accommodates you. Congratulations on your great bag! Is the orangey-red color you are thinking of called Sanguine?

I never really liked the proportions of the shoulder birkin until I was able to play w/ it! its is an awesome bag! I would want to have one soon....only problem is it's really hard to get one these days!

Yep you are right it is the new colour this Sanguine...more like a subtle orange and quite mod too...although I did only look at the colour samples at the store...so I can't envision it on a birkin yet :lawl: :greengrin:

I am similar in height and this bag looks perfect on me. It's classic with a twist and I am so glad they're still in production. No shoulder or weight problems whatsoever.

Hi Birkel
I checked again with the store and yep it is definite the shoulder birkin will make it's appearance end of this year in the beautiful Hermes orange with I hope GHW!!
Now my question to you is will it make a significant difference if it were a Togo or a Clemence?
All I know is clemence is a softer leather compared to Togo.
What do you think Birkel?

fjord on the sb11 will always hold its shape but remeber darling that this bag will allways even when soft like mine hold its shape. because of the structure and construction of the bag but......... fjord will always hold point is clemence is good because if the bag goes underr the arm you need the softness i wear mine twisted twoards my back or on my fore arm and thanks to the softness the bag is what it is. i stuff it with fill/air and it hols its shape perfectly. ill send you mod pics as soon as posible and i do suggest you get a JPG 1 the ones on ebay are still well priced and with what the price gain this bag has seen this bag will only get more valuable !!! very important when birkin buying and some of the ebay bags are new so great deals there. if you order in paris be sure to see the colors of fjord before you order as fjord never never never looks as bright. anyway hope it helps . i think the best for you would be togo its the mid point leather and orange with GHW is incredible because it looks almost mandarin perfect.

oh hey! my friend has one, and slowly...Im lusting over it...oh about the shoulder birkin....My SA Bryce here in Manila said that they no longer take orders for shoulder birkins...he said it is no longer in production....so weird huh? it takes forever to get a chance to purchase a birkin here in Manila nowadays.. is that all you ordered if I may ask? So far GP's and some other bags are sorta easy to get w/ the right SA:D

My SA is Tristan. i texted last month and he said there was no podium on SB2s last jan. SB2s are rare? oh my! i also ordered a SO Kelly 26 last Dec but quickly told them i don;t want it anymore in Jan. Well the SM did say leathers are hard to come by so that would make the SB2 harder to come by as well.

I'm so tempted to get from a reseller but i'd rather purchase it directly from any boutique

Thanks very much for your info on the SB. I would love to get a SB 1 from eBay but I am always worried bout fakes...so guess I will wait for the orange SB11 in dec. I doubt I will know any better since I have never tried a SB let alone SB 1.
I sure hope it will suit me. I am really just a casually dressed girl and don't like dressing up so am a little worried if I can carry the SB11 off.
I do however love orange and I guess I need to match with earthy colours...
