Should I sell my Hermes Birkin 30 in Black?

Hi hun, it sounds to me like you know which one you want to sacrifice. Even on your last post it sounded like you were over the b30 noir. Now that you have a kelly noir, the b30 is likely redundant. I personally can justify having both black bags, but that is me, and I’m crazy about black bags.

If you have a SO opportunity make it something you love. You collection is very versatile and all pieces you will use forever. A black K, an etain B, and a fun SO. Sounds perfect!

I do love black and it’s all time classic but now that I have a black Kelly I feel like I can rid the black Birkin. And for the SO I’m Thinking gris mouette / something light!

get rid of what you won't wear anymore. both are amazing but the etain/RG may be a bit more special. Personally, black trumps everything but again, that is a very personal judgment

I'd say keep the etain with RHW. It's a really hard choice, since a B30 in noir is so classic!!! It's such a personal choice to sell something, so sell the one you don't need as much. I love black bags, but I also love etain--it goes with everything!

Gris mouette is a dream! Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s available for this round (assuming the colors are the same as the last round) ..there are many other beautiful colors! What a wonderful problem to have

Hello @missmann! how’s your decision one year on? I have this dilemma recently too.

I love the birkin and will carry it everywhere and I prefer it over the kelly for ease of use but I’ve come to realize it’s not appropriate in some situations. A black kelly looks totally understated and elegant and can go to many many places vs a birkin. There’s a place for both kelly and birkin I feel.

I read that you’ve been offered a chance to do a special order. Wow congrats! Do let us know what specs you eventually chose!

I would keep both Bs. I'm not a fan of the K Sellier (except for the Mini II). Both Bs are in classic colors and different enough thanks to the hardware.

Definitely keep. In Hermes black and gold are always keepers for me, and if I had to sell they would go last. I have so far black box K32 and a black B30 sellier, so only two, but I’m waiting for a B35 in black also. In addition to about 10 black Chanels

Hi, is your black Birkin Sellier box leather as well? If it is, do you find it too stiff? I can’t decide if I think the retourne would be easier to access than the sellier in that size in box leather. Thank you

This is an old thread but the question is still valid. Personally I think black bags are easy to wear almost all the time. (Except in the height of summer when I prefer gold, black is my easy solution.) Worry free no need for twilly and what not. Black birkins and Kelly’s are the backbone of a solid H collection.
