Should I sell my Hermes Birkin 30 in Black?

Hi Everyone,

Need a bit of assistance. This is my first post!

I have a Birkin 30 in Togo leather, palladium hardware in the color Black. Have this for 3 years now.

My second order I then acquired a Birkin 30 in Etain, Togo leather with rose gold hardware. Beautiful bag.

I have placed my third order with my Hermes SA for a Kelly 25 in Black, Togo leather, gold hardware in Retournee style.

I regret not ordering a Kelly for my second order and instead got the Birkin Etain (now I have 2 birkins no Kelly)Now I’m thinking should I sell my Black Birkin as I’m getting the Black Kelly 25 Togo retourne?

And then use the spare cash to get the Kelly Sellier too?
So then I will have one Birkin, Kelly retourne and Kelly sellier?
Let me know what you think...

I would love to be able to buy the sellier but I am saving for a wedding...so if I sell I can get it sooner..

I think you should keep your Black Birkin too. I find I would use the Birkin and Kelly bags for different reasons/occasions. Black Birkins never go out of style and if you think about it what's the rush - Hermes, I find to be more of a marathon than sprint. Congrats on getting married!

There isn’t a guarantee that you’ll get the black 25. You’d probably find you would want the black back and end up losing money in the long run.

Keep the black b30. It does not compare to a Kelly retourne, based on my experience and opinion.

I will keep the Black Birkin,I have both Birkin and Kelly in black.IMO both bags serve for different purpose/occasion.

I would keep the Black Birkin. A forever classic. If you sell a bag, sell the Etain.
I don't know about where you live, but I can't buy two K25s for the price of a Birkin, so I would just wait on a Kelly sellier til you have your retourné. Personally I prefer Kellys to Birkins, but I still use my black Birkins all the time.
