I think you're right. It's the shiny leather that is too much and it makes the bag look like plastic and it seems almost fake. I like the silver and lilac though, good ting Zalando has free returns:smile:!

I understand completely. I'm not a fan of Patent Leather, personally. It always looks so plastic to me. Any kind of real shiny treated leather gets the same reaction from me. I love the combination of the Lilac & Silver but I think the shiny leather would bother me as well. Glad you're able to return it.

Me too. I sent it back earlier today. Hope the next one turns out ok. I wonder if they are selling well these bags..

I'm glad you are happy with the non glossy version!!!!

Thanks:biggrin:! Very happy! Ulike the other who stayed in the box until I could send it back, this one I have a ready tried on with different outfits and scarves and jackets. I love the subtile lilac that hints of grey. I find it vert versatile, and I love the silver that cools down the color of the bag:love:.

View attachment 3392433 Just picked up the other jet set travel Crossbody in Lilac and it is beautiful :loveeyes:! Not glossy, but matte.

I know you're happier with this new, matte one. I don't like the shiny patent one either. I've never been a fan of Patent to begin with. The only bag I would want shiny would be a metallic. I do own one bag (not a MK) that's metallic Pewter. Pewter isn't as shiny as silver. I don't carry it much except for the Holidays.

That sounds like a beautiful bag! I can see that metallic bags, perhaps black too could look good in patent. I have a Berkley python clutch that I only use for parties etc as it is a bit shimmery, but for those occasions its okey. For everyday use it is too much.

Haha, same here. I can't stand patent leather or shiny of any kind! I love matte leather, furniture, lipstick, etc. That's why I love pebbled leather way more than the simple, smooth one that sometimes can look shiny with light. So you can see something in a pic and have a surprise when it arrives.

For the original poster: follow your heart. You don't like it in the beginning, most probably you won't like it later either.

It's a beauty but if you're askng this question already, you probably have doubts and not sure if you'll like it as much in the future ;) I would keep it only if I'm 120% sure I love it
