If you prefer a "sharp" look, maybe a retourné Kelly is not for you. Personally I love my Gold retourné K28 and it is one of my most-used bags. You're much taller than I am so a K32 should be fine sizewise, and more practical. But I love my bag specifically because it is so casual, less structured and so for me more wearable.

An Hermès bag is always special but I don't know about keeping the bag for the experience you had getting it. I sold both my first H bag and later my first SO - I upgraded the first bag to Barenia and the SO was just too big for me. Does not lessen the pleasure I had obtaining them nor do I lose the memories.

You have to decide why you're not using it but sometimes it takes me a while. This is why I hate these pointless rules that so-called wardrobe professionals come up with like 'if you don't wear it within a year get rid of it'. An H bag is not a seasonal wonder, what does it matter if you carry it in 4 years time? It sounds like you're either too much in awe of the bag or you just don't like it, just wear it and see. That whole 'just do't reach for it' thing is easily dealt with, reach for it.

On the other hand your for 'keeping it' column doesn't add up too much. It was your fist H bag, but it's not like it was your great-grandmother's, it may be a investment for the future but Gold Ks are usually available and the prices are down pre-loved across the board for H bags. If you're carrying a B or C ad not K then your not the K girl you may think you are or you just don't like Gold or a 32.

BTW, a 32 retourne is not a big bag on a 5'5", I would need the even more classic 35 for all day.
This!

I think had it been a K28, I would have been wearing this bag a lot. 32 just looks overpowering when worn on my shoulder. And you are absolutely right... I should not dwell on it being my first Hermes bag. It’s a la e excuse to keep it.

It seems to me that you decided to sell before you posted. The cons (too big when a B30 is fine; not sharp enough when a B30 is fine, too big because you are 5'5" but a B30 is fine, etc.) don't seem real. If you don't want the bag and regret buying it, just sell it.

But B30 is a totally different look to K32 because it has no strap. When I hold K32 in my hand, the size is not too bad, but the moment I put it on my shoulder, it seems overpowering. It might also be the Togo leather. My B30 is Epsom and I love the fact that it doesn’t look saggy.
