Honestly, I just pulled the trigger on the bracelet, to make the set. I knew if I waited, prices are only going in one direction.

Yup, 100% true.. its painful and i hate that i am late to the game but i cant be buying evrrything on my wish list at 1 shot as well. Its about prioritisation and my tastes change and evolve. If i had gotten everything on my wish list at 1 shot, i would waste a lot more money because i may regret 30% of it.

Show show your bracelet! ♡ i am tempted by the bracelet. Micro hardware bracelet but i dont actually have a gap in the YG bracelet department (i dont like to stack) so i think i will just get the earrings because it wouldnt get outta my head otherwise! Lol

No, resizing is free when new, and the SA should be able to help you figure out how much smaller it needs to be.

I see on the service request paper it was altered from 6.75" to 6.25", and the cost is marked as $120 (but I was not charged for this). Small starts at 6.75", so it's not surprising if you need yours altered.

My wrist is just under 5.5", and you can see it still goes nearly halfway up my arm, but I like it loose in this style. You might want it more close fit if you're stacking with tighter bangles. Although, I do think this is a great standalone piece already, especially if you got medium!

A friend is selling her large microlink bracelet and I'm thinking about buying it but will def need it shortened.

Curious for those who have the bracelet, do you have it in a tigher or loser fit? I'm worried if it's too loose, it'll be noisy - hitting against things when I rest my hand on desk etc.

Also I was a bit surprised that small-large bracelets are all the same price. Wouldn't it be a good idea to get the large and have it shortened - extra links that you can repurpose for something else?

@coffeenpurses - did you end up getting yours resized?

I didn’t, I stack mine with a JUC, and I’m happy with the current size. I ended up with a loser fit because based on my wrist size my option was to remove 1 link but mess with the integrity of the design. The way the links are put together are very specific and ideally you can remove 2 links at a time to not mess up the bracelet design. If I removed 2 links, it’d have been too tight.

One thing to note is each style hardwear bracelet sizing is different. For instance, micro and large links in small were more fitted on my wrist but the small links were more loose so I’d recommend trying and seeing what works for you. They have a new medium, when I got mine it was called medium link bracelet, I guess it’s small now lol.

I have the large and stack it with my Love and JUC so I went for more fitted (small). Plus I work in an office and didn’t want it rattling when I type.
Very happy with my choice

Thanks for your reply! I totally didn't think of needing to remove two links at a time because of the bracelet design.

I'm pretty set on the micro bracelet but wasn't sure if I should buy the small size because it's closer to my wrist size, or buy my friend's large micro for a bit of discount and have extra links since i'll need to resize. Sounds like I should try them all again to see how much links need to be removed.

Anyone with extra link repurpose them for something else, like making it a pendant necklace?

I understand some may shudder at this suggestion, but the microlink is super easy to shorten yourself with some wirecutters. I’ve shortened mine twice by taking two links off each time.

I do that too with earring backs when they’re too long. Super easy and quick.
I’m also looking at the YG micro link so this is good to know.

LOL Good to know!

@Moxisox Do you have to file down the earring post after you cut it? I know a bit off topic to the Hardwear thread but please let us know if you end up getting it!

So far I haven’t. I have done regular posts with butterfly backs, and screw backs. I was worried at first that it would mess up threading on the screw backs, but it didn’t. I make sure to do the posts a length to where they don’t stick out past the earring backs, bc I wear them for long periods of time and don’t want them stabbing my head when I sleep.

Will definitely post if I end up with the micro link and need to clip off some links myself. I keep going back and forth between the YG micro link bracelet and the small love. I’m typically a chain bracelet girl, but having 1 bangle in the mix is tempting too. I’ve also been looking at watches lately, and I think this is an interesting concept.
