Beautiful piece - a wonder of nature! enjoyGot my malachite pendant today. What do you guys think of the color and striations? They gave me 3 options. One is too light and the other one is more darker green than this one. I almost went for the darker green but it looked like onyx in certain lighting/angles. I wanted a vibrant green when green color is very visible. This is the middle of the 3 shades.
Congratulations. I will join you can you please keep me a seat ? 🤭I finally took the plunge and made the purchase before the price hike! Say hello to my new Frivole ring, joining the squad with my small earrings and pendant! I'm now boarding the express train to Ban Island -- window seat, no return. I'll be admiring everyone else's hauls from a distance! Ciao!

I agree. That number astonished me. US tariffs have increased by a blanket 10% on all countries except for China (145%). A 90-day pause on higher tariffs is scheduled to lapse in July. If VCA is anticipating that lower rates will not be negotiated by July then the cost of materials, particularly diamonds and gemstones, will rise considerably. For example, tariffs would rise to 20% on goods from the EU (diamonds), 26% on goods from India (diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds), 44% on goods from Sri Lanka and Myanmar (sapphires, rubies), and 46% on goods from Vietnam (sapphires, rubies, peridot). From what I understand, tariffs on diamonds and gemstones are levied based on where the stone is cut, not where the stone is mined. So although the jewelry is produced by an EU-based company US tariffs will be assessed based on the source of the materials. Thanks♥️
47??? Not 4.7???

Early this month I read an article on Fortune Online that luxury brands would need to raise prices by 6% in the U.S. or face a 6(or7?) % profit hit. On average 5% price increase is not bad, but 47%! (on some HJ pieces). I can only laugh! In addition, gold price hike is continuing. Developing a strategy is as difficult as having hope.I agree. That number astonished me. With all of that said if VCA is raising prices in anticipation of higher tariffs it seems quite early to do so. Or, perhaps suppliers are increasing their prices in similar anticipation. If higher tariffs are not/not imposed I hope VCA brings prices back down. But as the saying goes, “hope is not a strategy.”
My SA is usually spot on with her information. Maybe the “up to 47%” is to catch an HJ piece or two that is an outlier—for some reason tariffs and material costs have added outlandish costs. When I bought my Lapis Secret Watch pendant I paid in full in advance. There was a price increase that was 3-4% for most pieces, about 8% for Alhambra items but 18% for my watch. Ouch. Pre-pay didn’t shield me from the increase. But having finally received the pendant about 2 weeks ago I am thrilled to have it.Early this month I read an article on Fortune Online that luxury brands would need to raise prices by 6% in the U.S. or face a 6(or7?) % profit hit. Congrats on your bracelet. 😍 Yes, very lucky indeed! Can you provide the country you got your bracelet from? Would it be the same country your friend received the earrings?Slightly overdue post! Walked into a VCA when I was on vacation and lo and behold, they had a 5 motif YG hammered bracelet. Now, this was never on my radar as I was gunning for the YG guilloche bracelet but I had to try this on because I have never seen one in stores before.
Once I tried it on, I knew it was game over for my wallet because I immediately felt butterflies and the way the gold sparkles so subtly was just magnificent. 😍 I loved how it’s a lighter gold than the guilloche and compliments my skin tone so well.
I never expected to make a purchase much less getting the hammered gold version. I feel so lucky and happy. Now my next step is to think about whether to get it resized or wear it with one motif dangling down (but I read that doing so will damage the lobster clasp in the long run). Would love some advice on this!
My friend got lucky too and was able to purchase the YG hammered earrings at another VCA store during the trip 💓💓💓
