It’s been a while since I bought anything from Van Cleef, mainly due to stock issues—I’m not willing to put down a deposit and wait. I stopped by a boutique while traveling without expecting much, and I’m excited to share my new pavĆ© Sweet Alhambra 1-motif bracelet! They also had a 6-motif in stock—I loved it, but not for stacking. I wanted to add something in white gold to my stack and had considered a white gold JUC, but I think this is perfect.

My most expensive vca item so far. Magic Alhambra pave necklacešŸ’• the price point is way beyond my usual spend but could not resist this one to pass since I knew it could be very handy and versatile. Excited to add this gorgeous piece to my collection

I love it and congratulations. Sometimes we have to take the opportunity and go with it when the heart tells us we cannot be without it. I am happy it is yours.

Do not regret spending serious coin on a foundational piece like this. You will wear this so much. In the end, it may end up saving you money, because you will not need to buy small items.

Thank you! I was hesitant at first for spending so much but then I couldn’t find an alternative piece that can replace this. Wise words reassure me to keep this piece and cherish for long time. Thank you!

This is so true. I’ve learned and relearned this lesson many times in my life, even outside of jewelry buying. Buy what you really love and then see what happens to your list.

Agreed with you wholeheartedly on this! I’ve posted several weeks ago when my SA offered this to me that I was a bit hesitant when told initially that it was a short pendant version and even after viewing it in real life, I still took a couple of days to re-consider (though i’ve paid a deposit to keep it under my name and if i decided to release, I could utilise towards other piece I planned to get anyway). It was just not in my initial plan (as I wanted both of the earrings and BTFR instead) to get a long Magic pendant.

I’d try my best to plan and budget however, it’s harder nowadays especially if the creations are not orderable and even more so, if they’re big ticket items šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

In curating my own VCA collection, i’ve accepted that it’s not possible for me to collect all of the creations (no resources and no time to play guessing games with VCA too) and my wishlist may (or may not) change/evolve. So, i’d stick with pieces I’ll wear often, fuss free/easy to wear and substantial/statement pieces. I don’t need all iterations in different gold metals or different stones and they have to be different/versatile enough to justify the purchase. More than once, after I knock off my big ticket items, I seldom thought of other smaller pieces but instead I can move on to the next different creation and no regrets on $$$ I’ve spent on those pieces too. No dollar amount equates to the satisfaction/enjoyment I get when wearing them. This is applicable to my other purchases too, not only VCA.

There are times I have to ruthlessly decline and say no to my SAs regardless how desirable the creations are for others like Holiday Pendants, and let go of the FOMO from enabling pics that some members post here 🤭 so I figure that it may be best to take a break in a while, not log on to the TPF too often and not visit the Boutique too frequent to avoid such temptation.
