Update-I’ve tried on Diesels but they were too big in 24 and no 23 in store to try.
I tried J Brand in 23 which fitted but I think would stretch out(I’m Very small although I eat tons-I used to be far thinner, I eat a lot as I have osteoporosis and artificially keep my weight above 40kg with protein supplements on prescription so that I don’t sustain fractures).

I’m wearing my own J Brands..

Thinking about another pair of 3sixteen+ now..

These were my favourite jeans years ago and I had them copied by Gieves and Hawkes in Savile Row with a sterling silver bespoke button with pink diamonds in Japanese denim..
I hate to think what these would cost now!

I bought another pair of B-Sides: the 'Reworked Vintage Culottes' that are vintage Levis. Here is the description:
Each pair is one-of-a-kind and will vary in indigo caste, color and fade pattern as they are made with authentic vintage Levi's 501's, collected in the American West.

Although it states they are 501, they are actually 505...or maybe they use both but the 2 pairs I got (I returned the first pair because they were a little too worn for my taste -hole in the back pocket) so I asked for another pair that weren't so worn out. I'm sure a lot of women love that look though! The replacement pair I got are perfect for me. I prefer 505 because of the zip fly. I'll post pics tomorrow-when I plan to wear them. But here is the link so you can see the pics from all angles. Love these!!!

Here are my BSides culottes. Tried to post pics of the seam details. These look better in person, my pics don't do them justice.

I agree about experimenting with lower price point jeans and Zara does a lot of great jeans!!!
I’m not a Zara fan(ducks for cover)- I don’t wear fast fashion-but I Am a denim head.
The reason that Zara jeans are good is that Zara use good quality denim-ISKO denim mill from Turkey-the same mill which Diesel use..at a much lower price point..
I saw a pair last week which actually fitted for once -if they’re still there when I go back I might buy them, they fitted better than some of the far more expensive jeans I tried which used denim from the same mill.

Otherwise I’ll buy 3sixteen+ which use Cone denim, or Samurai, which last for years..

These MMX denim with fused velvet exterior are my favourite without a shadow of a doubt. I have them in all sorts of jewel tones (ruby, emerald, gold, sapphire, etc…)

Bonus is that they come with quarter top dress pockets because I’m not a fan of 5 pocket pants.

Bonus is that they are essentially bulletproof to the cold so they are the perfect winter denim on a freezing day.

Went back for the Zara ISKO jeabs but they’d gone..But

I found a pair on the Outnet of black J Brands in my size which I’ve ordered.

I still want another pair-3sixteen+ and or Samurai , as fashion jeans don’t last more than a season (my Samurai are on their 3rd year), but I was pleased to find the J Brands -at least they’ll fit.

Back in about 2014 in the height of my ordering custom jeans from 3x1 in New York I had over 20 pairs of jeans, but atm only 3(for someone very small I’m very heavy on my jeans!)

I’ve bought Another pair of J Brands-black coated ones.

I still want the 3sixteen+, also either the Samurai or maybe a new pair of Momotaro, which also last for years(100% cotton like the Samurai).

I’m also considering another pair of Hiut’s Coda jeans using Candiani denim, but they’re only 12oz denim, although they’re rigid and button fly, like my Samurai, but I prefer heavier denim unless they’re skinny jeans..

My favourite jeans are my Samurai Geisha jeans, which are 16oz rigid denim, which I’ve had since 2021.
I might have these copied in Japanese Selvedge 26oz denim, which would last years, although this would cost the best part of £1000 and I’ve almost reached my annual clothing budget for 2023(although I’ve gone over budget every year since 2017!!)
