So, your post came at a time that I was kind of bored with my jeans style, wearing only straight and mom jeans. It reminded to look at other styles. I was happy to see that Zara had a lot of new styles, as I would rather explore new styles at a lower price point. I found two other pairs that I picked up. They look very designer, very unique. Here is the first one

I really love the deconstructed look of these ones. I bought my smaller size in these ones and they fit well. Keeping them.
Another great look!!!

I love Japanese Selvedge jeans-my favourite pair are my Samurai Geisha jeans which I bought in 2021.
Dark denim, rigid, no stretch, 100% cotton, button fly, fit just gets better and better..16oz -so thick(although I’ve had bespoke ones which were 26oz denim).

I follow the Denim Premiere Vision shows-next in November is for Spring Summer 2025, I love denim, but I love to know where the denim is from and I’m not into fast fashion denim..

I've had a few Chimala jeans in the past-first time buying Japanese Selvdge. At the time, the low rise style was in. I'm into high rise now. Maybe I'll try getting a high rise style.

I’ve never heard of Chimala-I buy my jeans directly from Japan, they fit me better as I have no hips and most American brands are too big on me..

Also bespoke jeans are great-but expensive as they wear out, I would buy them again, but now put more money into bespoke leather and shearling x

@Antonia I've located Chimala, they’re New York based, which was why I hadn’t heard of them…also more of a fashion brand-im a bit of a denim purist, I used to like 3x1 in New York as they had an amazing selection of denims, but now they’re just a fashion company..
I have load of books on denim as well..for years I lived in jeans!

3x1 moved, then closed in NY; DH used to buy them bc he wanted a different yoke fit (they were fitting to one’s body and proportion), and they allowed customization down to thread, buttons etc. I still have some 3x1, but I only bought from their RTW rack. 3x1 was known for its on site crafts room and wall of selvage denim

Yes, I used to have their custom jeans-they had a pattern for me.
I still have envelopes full of swatches of denims from Japan and Italy(they had others but i was only interested in those.
They were expensive but as @880 says, you could detail hardwear and thread colour etc
I had a pair of dark blue Selvedge with green silk weft inside with green thread and green button fly etc ..

I still receive emails from a company called 3x1 (don’t know where they’re based although definitely US) but not the same company, who were Scott Morrisson like Paper Denim and Cloth, and Ernest Sewn , but still exist and just do rtw..

I’d like a third pair of jeans-3x1 would have been perfect(I had over 20 pairs of custom jeans from them), I don’t really want fashion jeans-only Diesel and J Brand really fit.

The choices are

J Brand or Diesel
Bespoke jeans
Another pair of Japanese Selvedge jeans

I’ve seen another pair of Samurai jeans but the measurements are slightly different to mine, however the quality is so good I might be able to deal with that..they keep their colour and wash really well..
Or I’ll compromise and buy those And another pair..

The Sammies are really my favourite style but I think in women’s they only make one pair in each size.
High Street jeans don’t work on me as I have no hips!
