Anyway I thought I was being helpful and can only give my own experience and what my SAs confide in me. Seeing as some members do PM and ask me how I get multiple offers or exotics in Paris etc, I though I would post it in reply here. I am sure it will be very different for some people and they should do whatever they are comfortable with. I’m still talking about bag offers so I hope it’s on topic.

My observation is that some (H) mentioned here only doing this for their regular spending clients though.... not with newly established clients unless you are buying the entire store at your first visit :giggle:. Most “offered” bags mentioned on here are not physically in stock or being shown to clients to pick and choose, definitely not in multiples at the same time. Usually the process is done thru a period of discussion of “what’s expecting in future shipments” and/or “I have xyz coming in, which one would you be interested” with your SA/SM like other members have mentioned on here. You nailed it. It takes few years and loyalty to the boutique to get to those offers, at least in my case.

I'm a very long time customer of Hermes, and have used my closest boutique since it opened many years ago, along with others while traveling. But, it's my local boutique that thinks of me when limited editions come in. Having been through more SAs than I can count, it's been a bit much at times, but loyalty is key. My last SA of several years (that I adored) resigned recently, but she left me in great hands.

Oh wow, thanks! Clearly I have a looooong way to go. I'm just about to hit my 1 year anniversary w my SA so maybe in a few years...

I know people who do that and they get multiple bags on several passports (and post on IG), but so far their stores don't seem to notice... Who knows, they are probably good customers anyway.
