Update on the beton P18!

I fell in love with the color and decided to bring it home with me. My doubts about the phw were negligible because this color is so pretty (and I’ve been waiting for a craie picotin for a year; beton is a good substitute).

My lovely SA ended up surprising me with a K32 Gris asphalt phw. When she said “32”, I uttered “that’s too big”. When she said “it’s not gold hardware”, I muttered “all my b/k are ghw”. When she said “Gris asphalt”, I directly replied “no”. She insisted that I should still see it even though I’m not interested.

It was love at first sight! However, I had many concerns and took me well over 30 mins to decide.

1) retourne vs sellier- I prefer sellier for its structured shape. My k25 is an exception because of its tiny size
2) all my b/k are ghw- did I really want to break this ongoing trend?
3) the color- I just purchased my Etoupe b30 ghw in December. As someone who is a self-proclaimed “bright color lover”, another neutral seemed to contradict my usual preferences.
4) quota- purchasing this bag that I was on the fence about means fulfilling my quota until July. My holy grail this year is a non-black and non-pink mini Kelly. Do I really want this bag if my heart is set on another?

To be continued... What would you do?

If it were me I would pass on the K32, only Cos you seem to be on the fence about it, the fact that you have a HG and if you take this bag you’re locked until July. Surprisingly K32 retourne isn’t as big as K32 Sellier. I have both and once took a side by side pic. I’m sure it’s to do with the structure of Sellier vs the slouchiness (relatively, and for lack of a better word) of Retourne.

If you do end up taking it, though, I don’t think you can go wrong with this color. It just seems like, all things considered, this is just an “ok” bag for you. :flowers:

Good luck and keep us posted!

Thank you dear serva1!!! I love both!! I can see wearing the KP a lot more even though it's such a bright color it's very wearable! It's very different from the mini Kelly which has almost a 'out of this world' special quality about it. Pros and cons of both...the KP feels a bit roomier especially with the wonderful buttery soft swift leather but I do love the strap on the mini Kelly. I co-chaired a gala last weekend and this bag was indespensible as I had my lipstick, phone and some notes tucked neatly away and I wore it cross body and ran around all day and night like that!View attachment 3987229

I passed on a gorgeous Bleu Sapphire KP 2 years ago only because it had no strap. Loved the bag but that strap was a must for me. I bet yours is stunning in blue electric being it is a small bag. Enjoy it!

B35 Togo Craie.

I’ve been waiting for a B35. It is a stunning color, but the lightness makes me worry a little.
Does anyone have experience with Togo Craie? I want to use it regularly for work and travel. Issues with color transfer, darkening, yellowing? Any input is appreciated!

I have a Craie GP TPM that I adore! It is in Vache Country but I am careful when I use it and have had no problems with it so far. I go over it with a damp soft cloth every time I use it to remove any residue that could have gotten on it. If I need to bring it somewhere I am not sure it could get dirty or damage, I bring a dust bag (mom made for me)

My favorite thing about the color Craie is that you can play with twilly colors. I have a very neutral (boring :P) wardrobe so the twilly adds just the right touch of color when I want color.

Anything in Craie is just stunning!

Agree with @Ang-Lin. If it took you 30 minutes to contemplate, in the world of H, that is more of a no than a yes.

And as a PHW all the way gal, whenever I start trying to justify GHW I know it will end up a mistake purchase. Pass. Wait for a mini-K or something smaller, brighter and with GHW. :sunshine:

I have this problem with blue bags right now (and was having this problem with black bags for a long time)....it is a case where I don't see a blue (or a black really) that I don't like but I know I need to keep my personal portfolio diversified so I get to enjoy and use my bags. Stay strong!!
