Thank you! I feel a bit better now. Really needed to hear it from someone else for moral support. My biggest fear is that after passing on the B30, they don't have anything in rose pourpre or magnolia anymore. Then I might have to wait for years for a similar color [emoji24]
Actually, my second biggest fear is that if I took the B30, what if they have a K28 shortly afterwards which cannot be sold to me...aaaaarg. H is really messing with me mentally
I completely get it... You don't even want to know the emotions I have gone through in the last week. We can message if you need someone to rationalize with... I don't have very many friends who love H, so there is no-one to talk to except you all on the forum
What's more important, the color or the style bag?
If it's the style bag, then you should stick to that because a Birkin will never be a Kelly and you will want Kelly every time you look at your birkin. If it's color.... well. We know the end of that story.
Stay Strong dear. This color and style seems abundant right now but one never knows what your boutique will get.... it's something we ALL face here at one time or another so we understand the struggle xo
Can you ask your SA straight up if they are expecting to receive any K28 in RP or Magnolia in near future? Because they should able to access the store system and see what was ordered and not arrive yet... imo, if your heart is set on a K28, do not settle for B30
To be honest, between the color and the style of the bag, it's such a close call this time. My heart was originally set on a pink K28, as I already have a red B35. I did not expect that the pink B30 would be offered to me first, before any news on the pink Kelly. I can afford to take both a K28 and a B30, but I doubt they'd let me buy both bags within a short period of time. This is painful. DH just laughed on the side that H marketing strategy is totally working on me.

Well in that case, I can only speak for myself sooooo.... assuming I asked about a k28 and got a "no we are not expecting this in Dec"... I would call and take the Birkin. (((BUT keep in mind, I am not shy to carry larger size bright birkin))) New semester starts Jan 1. New Kelly can be yours at that point if your boutique follows normal "semester rule".
p.s. I just made this decision myself but regarding bag style. Wanted B30 all semester .... second choice was K25. Got offer for K25 in mid December.... Guess what I did? hahahahah Jan 1 I will be begging (figuratively) for the birkin hahahahh

If you can afford two bags I would take the B30 and run... just couple more weeks til next semester and you can ask for your K28 in one of the new pink colors

I'm not a VIP at my local boutique yet, as I'm just starting out my H collection. Would they make another offer very soon to a relative newbie? I know about the semester thing, but also heard that they usually want you to wait for a while between offers, unless you're a big VIP. Don't think I'd go as far as buying a saddle, furniture, or bicycle just to get a bag... well, at least not yet
There is a reason you said no. Stick with what your gut told you. I passed On RP because it was a slightly wrong color *for me* ... and while i question whether i made The right call every time i see A rose pourpre birkin... i dont Regret it at all! That is how my Barenia F came to me. I am sooo happy with the decision.
