What are your thoughts on matte gris perle birkin gold hdw?
It is size 35 though and since I hurt my neck I am leaning towards lighter bags now..at that price range need to be sure...

I LOVE matte gator in gris perle. Hubby said that's his favorite among all my bags. A versatile and elegant color. But when it comes to H, if you're in doubt for any reason, say no.

In general I like alligator for matte bags, crocodile for shiny ones and my preference for Nilo or Porosus depends on the size of the bag. I think Nile looks perfect on a Kelly 25 and Porosus would look great on a 20. I’m more about the size of the scales relative to the size of the bag than how perfect the pattern of the scales are. That’s just my preference.
I wanted a classic ‘black’ Kelly first, so if they had something matte, I would have asked for a small Birkin instead.
(All this to say, no idea what the price of alligator is because that’s not what I was offered lol)

I would have done the same! I passed On a beautiful red croc constance. But it just wasn’t for me, plus I had just gotten another rouge casaque Epsom Constance. It would have been too much red.

I haven't had that bag for too long yet. But my GM goes everywhere with me, airport security x-ray scanner included, and doesn't seem to have any issue. My GT gator CDC holds up well too.
