Thank you babe, yes i did! I find chalcedony not as cool as white mop, and i like the fact that each stone is different, has its own character and makes it so interesting to look at. In this way, the 'inconsistency' works to its advantage. I really like the translucency of the stone too, it is more lilac lavender in real life, depending on the surface its put against too ♡♡

Totally agreed with everything you said! I'm usually very OCD but I ended up choosing a 5 motif chalcedony where each stone looks vastly different, make it so much more interesting to stare at instead of the semi-uniform look. Also I feel like VCA has some unique selection of chalcedony, I have yet to see any good fakes out there that have the same look as the chalcedony used in the VCA pieces, like you said, more translucent and has a stronger lilac/lavender undertone. So I feel better about dropping money on it since it's not something that can be easily replicated

Omg DItto!! U took the words right out of my head! Hahah! I am also usually OCD! My SA was surprised cos he tot i wld never go with chalcedony (unlikely i can find perfectly uniform piece). Lol. Imagine his shock cos i got the 5 motif and 10 motif within 2 weeks or so. Lol

I also feel that chalcedony (abd maybe malachite?) is very unique n hard to fake compared to perhaps onyx, carnelian, mop or even pave pieces? Thats just me. Chalcedony has so much depth to it, i love it whereas the White mop on WG, i really didnt like it.. it was so grey and cool. More of the grey tone that turned me away

Gorgeous! My SA just found me a 10 motif. Did you get yours lengthened? I like how it lays on you. Debating if I should. Have never lengthened any of my other 10 motifs so not sure if I should.

Congrats! Which 10 motif are u getting? ♡ i didnt lengthen in the end , i was 50-50 about it but i prefer the original spacing, if you get what i mean, the original intended look. Plus its 1 year free to lengthen so i thought i should give the original length a shot. I have no choice but to shorten my bracelet as it is too loose otherwise.

A 10 motif, however, sits quite well for me . My SA also didnt think i need to lengthen it , hths

Ooh awesome! Chalcedony is quite underated still, and it speaks to very specific people i feel.

i didnt know it was so hard to come by, i always thought its a sales gimmick - the hard to find line. because it is the xmas period, there wasnt any other 10 motif i could try in store.

I guess i got lucky.. my SA found one chalcedonty, the only one 2 weeks after i asked for 1. There were also 2-3 5 motifs chalcedony when i asked for it, though subsequently there didnt seem to be any more for the next 1 mth.

Eta: if i had a few 10 motifs and wish to stack them, i may then lengthen some. However i only have 1 and dont plan to stack so that is why i didnt lengthen too. I got the 10 motif for variety and accepted that it wont be an everyday piece like my Cartier solitaire necklaces. If i wear 10 motifs daily, i would get 1 more lol

Working from home today and i love that WG chalcedony is casual enough for me to wear with my t-shirt dress. Am heading out for a lunch appt later, otherwise i will only be with my 5 motif and my Cartier cdc necklace usually
