since I don't have many purchases in Toronto.
Since you mentioned not having many purchases in Toronto, would you mind please if I asked your approximate Toronto spend (and or approximate total H spend)? Just to see if there's a benchmark that they are using to determine who gets an invite and who does not. Thanks!!

So the purchases doesn’t count towards Qbag? Will the SA from store be there? It doesn’t affect negatively if you don’t buy anything?
I don’t think that they have the same SA and if they are, not all would be there. I don’t think it negatively impact. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it and don’t get it. That’s all I would say. I don’t mean to tell you what to do, but surely I can say get anything that you like not just for a bag

I literally maybe buy one or two items a year. Mainly shoes or scarves, no RTW or bags or even any leather goods. I’ve had a profile there for a while but generally buy overseas. Bought a tad more after Covid since we couldn’t travel but honestly very minimal.

How do you think it will be different? Do you think it will be better or worse than before?
Just from the description of items. I can’t say worse or better. But I remember the last sale was focused on accessories (no shoes) and I don’t recall any RTW. If someone else who went to previous sales could chime in that’d be helpful. lol. I remember the old sales would be every two years as well and not put on by Hermes.

Absolutely! This should always apply. And not just at Hermès. No matter where you shop, please, please, please, do not ever buy anything because you feel pressured; or because you think buying something will lead you to being offered a QB or any other item. Only buy what you love and what you will use - otherwise, you’re just throwing away money (and potentially taking away that item from someone who might actually really want it). If any of you struggle with this, I will come with you and tell you “NO!” Hahaha.

In my experience, I have never been pressured at the Toronto store. I have been shopping here for over 10 years (and by shopping here, I mean that I have a few items from the store, and basically just pop into the boutique to browse). My new SA asked me upon our first interaction if I had a wish-list. I didn’t…and then I did! My SA was really honest about what I wanted and that it could take a really long time to come into the store (certain colours are rare, certain colours won’t be offered for certain seasons, and some combinations of colour and hardware are rare), and that I would be lower priority since so many people want similar bags. For me, this was great, as I need a few more years to save up (I was also honest with my SA about that, too; and didn’t receive any hostility because of that. In fact, my SA has already contacted me about some items I have been inquiring about [not bags]).

Have fun at the sale! Wish I was invited lol! And remember: Only buy what you love, and don’t attach it to what item it could lead to in the future. At the end of the day, it’s all just stuff.

I received an invite! This will be my first sale. Any insight on what types of items will be available and what kind of discount we can expect? Is it just RTW or will they have other items as well?
I did a quick search for others' experience online from 2023 in Europe & US, which give me an idea where the discount range will likely fall into. Looks like London, US are having the private sale in the next 2 weeks. I guess we can get a better idea on how the 2024 sale will go for Toronto.

Thanks so much! That's helpful to know. Maybe they consider both total spend and local spend then when determining invites?

Has anyone else received an invite to the sale this fall?
I’ve never been invited to one previously. Is it worth it?
I’ve been to the sale before pandemic. Big line up, now it’s invitation only. Everything is 50% off, some RTW 70% off. I managed to find some RTW, silk and ties for my DH. I would said it’s not all bad considering it’s half price. But the downside is the sale dont count toward your in-store spending profile. So it’s a perk for people who really enjoy the brand.

I got the invitation and it's in all mail / not showing in mail mail box. well. this morning, the sept 25 first opened slot was 5-7pm. the 26 and after all available. i booked it, not sure i wanna go tho. we will see.
