Selling to Madison Avenue Couture

I looked on their website and it seems like they ask for minimal information and minimal photos of the item.

For those who have accepted their quote and sold to them, do they send you the pre-paid shipping label to send your item? And what does the process/turnaround time look like once you've sent the item?

Their quotes are similar to other consignments (as buyout) sometimes much lower than Yoogi & FP

They offered me similar quotes to consign compared to other sites. They Also offered the same buyout as therealreal. Fashionphile was slightly lower. I am currently consigning a bag with them and can let you know how it goes once my item sells and I have been paid.

I decided to give them a try.

Madison Avenue Couture provided the highest buyout quote compared to Fashionphile, Yoogi's, and Rebag.

Like previous posters said, communication could be better. Sometimes I had to ask for updates on my transaction. However, when I did reach out, the team was responsive and helpful.

Overall, I'm satisfied and would consider using them again.

I just sent one of my bag and hope the consignment will be smooth. First time selling with them, I always use Fashionphile both buying and selling before and happy with the outcomes. Giving try Madison since they offer higher this time. Finger crossed .
Hello. May I ask you did you get money from consignment? How long did you wait ? I just made the same . Gave them try to consign my bag. Still waiting ….

Hi there, has anyone from Europe worked with MAC to sell a handbag?
I submitted my B25 HSS and got a buyout offer that is a bit low IMO.
My biggest fear is that if I accept their offer and send the bag, are they going to low ball their offer after receiving the bag?

I'm EU based and I sold 2 bags in cash buyout and I have 2 in consignment with MAC.
They sent me a prepaid DHL world express label with insurance, although the declared amount they put is 500 for any bag (I guess to avoid a huge customs bill).
The two bags I sold in direct buyout were brand new full set, so they were accepted without issue and I received the promised amount maybe two weeks after I sent them each bag.
One of the bags I have in consignment was initially sent for direct buyout, but they offered me $500 less after evaluating the condition (it's a preowned bag about 10 years old). If I wanted the bag returned to me, I would have to pay the return shipping (like ~100-200). For this one I asked if they could switch to consignment, to which they agreed and it was more interesting for me as the consignment offer was 30% higher than the buyout offer.
The second bag I have in consignment has been there since January, and I'm starting to worry that it won't sell. Contractually if this happens they supposedly take care of the return shipping once the consignment period has run out.

Would love to hear more testimonies about consignment experiences with MAC and the time it took to sell.
