Experiences from selling with Madison Avenue Couture? Are they legit and is it a smooth process to get your money? I got a quote but it is so informal and they aren’t really responsive when I asked them to send me a label and the contract. They seem a bit off and unresponsive. It’s been 4 days since they sent me a 1 line email just stating their offer. They don’t answer questions about the process and don’t seem so professional and thorough.

Wouldn't that be bad enough if to sell anything expensive?

Yeah most definitely. But just wondering if maybe they are just a little off right now, this time of year, and if anyone has had good experiences with them. I have only sold through Poshmark and Fashionphile since from experience Rebag and Yoogi’s have given me lower offers but in this recent quote Madison is offering me more for a cash buyout.

It all speaks for itself with regard to doing business..
The offer may be more but considering the lack of communication, there is a price to pay for that &
not answering questions, that's a red flag for me.. JMO

I just saw this.....I sold to Madison about three months ago. Like you mentioned they were not great at communication but their quote was so much better than Fashionphile's so I decided to give them a try. After sending off the bag I did have to contact them to confirm receipt. Their reply was within a normal amount of time but then had to wait of course for authentication. Afterward I had to reach out to ask about my payment. Again they answered within a day and I had the funds within 24 hrs. It really wasn't that they were unresponsive actually......it was more that I had to reach out to them throughout the process instead of the other way around.

I've bought from them but not sold anything to them. Thanks for the feedback.

Communication definitely is not their forte but I have managed to sell to them and at the end of the day it was a positive experience. My question is... what bags are they looking for?? Can anyone suggest recommendations as to what bags they actually are looking to buy? My rejection rate is probably 90% and there is never any reason or explanation, just the form letter email saying essentially "thanks but no thanks" I'd love some insight so I don't waste my or their time making submissions. I have only submitted either store fresh/never used birkins or pristine examples but no largely no avail... idk what's up.

Perhaps they have multiples of what you are trying to sell.
I think at times especially now with these resellers it is hit or miss..
I'd try again perhaps in September when fall is starting to be in full swing & buyers are
looking for bags
The old saying, if you don't succeed keep trying.. I'd give it another shot & then look for other
resellers who perhaps carrying a larger inventory than what MAC does, JMO

I purchased from them about 3 years ago and it went smoothly, no complaints and I would purchase from them again in the future. HTH
Thank you so much for this reply. I think I will FINALLY go ahead and make a purchase. I have been waiting and waiting for Hermes website, but haven’t been able to score what I want. I like the idea that you can get brand new from Madison Avenue Couture.

I just sent one of my bag and hope the consignment will be smooth. First time selling with them, I always use Fashionphile both buying and selling before and happy with the outcomes. Giving try Madison since they offer higher this time. Finger crossed .
