 I have been interested in a few of her (or his?) auctions however I have been trying to stay on the safe side until I hear something (ANYTHING) about them. :shrugs: Come on who wants to try them out for the rest of us!:winkiss:

I have not purchased any bags from her. But I have discussed about getting a particular bag from her awhile ago and I have to say, she's very polite. I didn't get the bag I was eyeing - Blue Brighton 30cm birkin because at that time, my croc birkin became available. She obviously kept my emails because 2 months after that, when she received another Blue Brighton birkin (i think the second time it was a 35cm), she emailed me and asked if I was still interested in the Blue Brighton, and she actually lowered the price a bit for me to entice me to get it from her. I didn't though.

I do have a friend who got her croc from her. And from what I've seen, my friend's glazed niloticus croc is real. No BS.

Mrssprakles, this site is to share good and bad experiences so that others can be benefit fom it. Maybe you should read my post again. I said "I saw one of their croc birkins and in my opinion is fake". That is my opinion from my experince and I hope you are not so quick to reprimand others without first understanding what you read. This is free country and we are all entitled to our respectful opinions. Enjoy your day!

Well I just found this thread again if birkin101, my only advice is that there are a lot of known sellers - and with such high prices I would feel more comfortable with what is known...just my thoughts of course...was there something in particular you were looking at? Maybe we could help?

I looked at the fuscia ostrich birkin in 30 and I thought the handles were kind of funny. They usually have a great selection of exotic skins. I would want to get a Birkin in croc or ostrich. Just trying to do my research.:s

Take a look at her feedback. It looks pretty good - she has bought a lot of stuff herself, even from "pretty mia" and "sandia exchange" who are known to be reputable sellers...but, she does a couple of multiple buys from others all at the same time, which stands out to me. Also, you can't look up the items she's bought from them because they're too old.

If he/she is buying from those two, odds are they are probably clued in to the Hermes community, so I think it is a little strange that none of us have heard of anyone close to us buying from them and whether the bags are real or not.

If sparkles's friend bought a real croc bag, I'd be interested in knowing whether it was looked at by the boutique itself. That would be good to know, IMO.

Sophie, H stores do no provide authentication services. And there is no way I would doubt anything about my friend's croc. For a person of her stature, it would be absolutely insulting to think less of my friend's croc.

Do get back to the bag in question. I think if there is a particular bag that any of you might be interested in, I seriously suggest that you ask for additional photos of the inside etc (the usual pictures needed to help authenticate a birkin), and post in the authenticate thread.

Anyone reguardless of stature can get taken on Ebay. Not that I am saying she did or that nyfashionexpert doesn't sell legit bags (frankly I have no idea). I just don't think that stature should be any indication that her bag is authentic. I have seen pictures of A-listers who have fakes (which I am sure they were taken on).

That's what I noticed as well. The feedback is not that recent which means she does not do much volume.

Yes, they DO, if you ask them in the right way and you are a customer. If you walk in with a bag and say "Please authenticate this" or "Can you tell me if this is real," of course they will turn you away because they would be flooded with fake bags all day. If you take your bag in and have it cleaned, buy a strap for it, have it repaired, or have your initials embossed, they must look at it and if they look at it, they will tell you instantly if it is a fake, thank goodness!

I wasn't insinuating that your friend bought a fake bag intentionally or that she is not smart enought to tell a fake bag from a real one. I was saying that with all the faux croc scares on the forum lately, it would be reassuring to know that a customer of nyfashionexpert actually had taken a bag into a boutique for some reason and gotten an assurance it was authentic. It wasn't any kind of a remark about your friend at all, just to be clear. This thread is about nyfashionexpert, and we're looking for positive input on prior sales.
