Just popped in and couldn't stand the crowds or queues. It was much better in the mens section upstairs. They had a decent number of bags on shelves and on stands. I could see Antony and Seth discounted (£287?) and a few small ones at £211. I don't know their names!

^ I hope the instore sale is better than online... I logged on this morning expecting a good selection like last year but all I saw in the bag section were alexa's (I'm not an alexa girl) DKNY, Pauls Boutique and Guess!!! :nogood:

They had roped queues for all the bag concessions and I saw a good amount of red labels marking the discounted items so I think the online sale only had a fraction of the stock on sale.

well i went to birmingham today and it was like a jumble sale it is criminal how they can let a £1500 handbag just be thrown into a bucket they had a few Mulberry left

Black Mila
Daria
Alexa hobo oak
Alexa clutch
loads of purses
all 30%

then 2 Cory bags a sparkle and a purple one both 50% off

and gucci had a good sale got myself a baby bag

I ordered the black lily in the sale yesterday at 8am and it was delivered just before 9am this morning. It was beautifully packaged and it's perfect. Very happy with it so far.

Selfridges Brum is always like that- its like a bad day in Primark come sale time- as you say criminal treatment of expensive bags- I walked straight out last year and didnt even go in today!!

Spotted a red onion buckle bag (regular) with polished gold hardware at Selfridges Oxford St yesterday. I haven't seen one on the Mulberry website, only the midnight two tone ones, so I thought it may be of interest.

Ooooh, that sounds lovely.... I spotted the midnight on M.com and thought it looked stunning. I've always liked the look of the Alexa but for me I don't like the way that it slouches when being carried.... Does this leather look any more robust? Does it look like it will still be slouchy? xx

I don't think it will be quite as slouchy as it seemed thicker when I held it. It's one of those bags you really need to see IRL. ;) I preferred it to the midnight, but that's because I'm going through a 'black is boring' phase.

"Black is boring" phases are great, make the most of it and stock up with some splashes of colour!! The bag sounds lovely, hmmmmm.....
