I waited to have my new to me LV Speedy authenticated before posting. I bought it with the gut feeling it was “real” but wanted written proof, kwim?

Anyway it’s a Speedy 30 from 2008 priced at 50.00. At the Sal Val Wednesdays are half off most items. I never thought they would ring it up for 25.00 but the cashier did!! I paid 25.00 for her plus the 30.00 authentication fee. I almost ran out of the store !

WOW!...Amazing find!...Amazing condition.

May you be as lucky this year.

I posted this bag on the “identify this handbag” thread but I don’t think it gets much traffic. I thought perhaps i could get some insight here. I bought the bag at the thrift, no identifying marks except the most awesome pebbled leather, a leather lined slip pocket at the top side and Lampo zippers. Lined in black sturdy fabric.

I found this online: „Lampo is a brand of The Lanfranchi Company, which has been in continuous operation since 1887, starting with buttons. Today, only 30% of their business is exported, meaning a majority stays within Italy and is applied to the many beautiful garments and accessories made in Italy by the world’s best designers, tailors, seamstresses, and leather artisans.

The company is especially advanced in its sustainability efforts, having fully vertically integrated, committed to ethical and environmental standards for its workforce and raw materials, which may be one reason why it is well-aligned with the modern fashion community.

The Lampo logo is iconic (on the underside of its zippers) and can be found on brands like Stella McCartney, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Balmain, and Prada.“

So that sounds promising to say the least?

Also used on Balenciaga.
