Good idea, OP!
I have never bought from BN but I remember a few gals upgrading their diamonds. If you're really not happy worth a try!
Keep us posted..........

It's worth a shot. I don't know if it works for everything they sell but worst they say is no.

They're really beautiful, and I don't think they're "trendy."

I have a pair of princess studs.....after a few years I wished they were round, and stopped wearing them very much. But when I would pull them out I would get tons of compliments on them. I still felt dissatisfied with them.

Eventually I got new, bigger round studs....and now when I see them together in my jewelry box I'm not sure why I wanted rounds so much! The princess cut are beautiful and a bit more unique, and yes I would reach up and straighten them out all the time, but really they are just as pretty as rounds.

Rock your gorgeous rocks! They're beautiful!

I have round diamond studs and I wanted to add a pair of cushion or asscher cut studs to my collection. Yesterday I tried on some asscher cut studs and they didn't seem that different to me in my ears, so I passed. I think these earrings are fine!

It may be silly to ask, but... have you tried to wear them for a few days, or are they sitting in your dresser while you ask yourself if you made a mistake?

If don't have diamond studs, but 3 pairs of square studs, and I don't feel like they're dated. I wear them all on a regular basis. Sometimes I wear them in diamond shape (corners up and down, instead of sides up and down)

Your earrings are beautiful. Have you tried just wearing them for a week non stop. If you still don't feel
totally comfortable wearing them then move on.

Personally I think you have a beautiful pair of diamond earrings but it's how you feel about them is the only thing that really matters.

I normally don't like princess cut diamonds, but I think these are very pretty and definitely classic in style!

I think you should enjoy them for the time being and when ready for an upgrade when you're ready, go through bluenile again and get the shape you would like. don't sell them...you won't get your full purchase price back.

Oh these are so gorgeous, not dated at all. I wish I owned a pair of princess cut studs! But if you don't love them you won't wear them so maybe it's possible to sell them if Blue Nile won't do an exchange?

i guess it's more that i feel like princess cuts are a trend and not so much classics like rounds. when i wear them, i feel like it's 2003.. lol i know it makes no sense, but back then the princess cut were all the rage.

ur completely right! they're just sitting there in my drawer. i'll wear them for a week and see how i feel about them.

Thank you guys so much for all your honest and kind words. It made me feel a lot better about my purchase. I'll wear my earrings for a while and see how i feel about them.
Otherwise i'll just go to a jeweller and see how much i can get for them in exchange for a round pair.
