Hi guys,

I'm not much of an earring person, but i thought i should own a pair of diamond studs. I went for a princess cut, mainly because i have never owned a princess cut before. But now i'm not sure whether i made the right decision, i feel like princess cut studs were a trend a few yrs ago and now i feel i bought something 'dated'.. am i crazy?? what do you guys think? i feel like i spent money on something i dont completely love and i feel bad about it :(

Personally I think these are gorgeous. But if you don't like them and you're not sure if you're going to wear them maybe you should exchange them for another cut you like more.

I really love your earrings. To me they are very classic and not dated looking.
Like others have suggested... exchange for a shape you prefer. You deserve to love your earrings. They are expensive and should be enjoyed.

I dont think diamonds like this would ever go dated..its gorgeous! But if you have that kind of feeling about this you may return it or switch it with something else. Its not worth the money if you dont feel satisfied

Thanks for all the replies and letting me vent a little on thie forum, it's much appreciated :)
It's not possible to return it, i bought it about three months ago. And i contacted Bluenile about it as well, they wont accept it :(

Sorry :(
I love love love my studs, wear them single day, but I prefer round because I know I'd constantly be trying to straighten princesses.

Oh these are so gorgeous, not dated at all. I wish I owned a pair of princess cut studs! But if you don't love them you won't wear them so maybe it's possible to sell them if Blue Nile won't do an exchange?

I think diamond studs of any shape are classic earrings. I would choose round simply for the same reason as Swanky mentioned, but princess cuts are still a classic shape and not particularly "trendy". Upgrading, I believe, requires a purchase of double the price of the original (or more), so that is a possibility, but you could also enjoy them for what they are.
