💡 after thinking about it that is what I guessed too. and she probably didn't want to decline going so that he would not lose his job because of her - if it was not stated point blank I am sure it was implied that would happen.
I think she has a better case than most of the plaintiffs. They videotaped her being raped and have been sharing and selling it as porn for the last 20+ years. No wonder she hired Gloria Allred and allowed her name to be used publicly. She wants justice.

How Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly used his empire and employees to ‘get his way’ with women

At a dinner Combs hosted around late 2009 to celebrate an eight-figure distribution deal between Interscope Records and Bad Boy, the music executive punched his girlfriend Cassie in the stomach, “causing her to double over in visible pain, crying,” according to an account in Richard’s lawsuit.
The assault took place in front of Interscope co-founder Jimmy Iovine and singers Ne-Yo and Usher, the complaint states. Yet the “Bad Boy-Interscope deal took place and remained in effect, providing Mr. Combs with immense financial rewards and enabling him to commit further acts of violence without fear of repercussions.”
Those executives had reason to keep Combs’ actions secret, Richard alleges in her suit.
“Defendants Harve Pierre, Interscope Records, and Bad Boy Records have financially and otherwise benefited from these acts and omissions by keeping Mr. Combs, the volatile and explosive owner of Bad Boy Records, satisfied, and benefited from facilitating his behavior.”

It is truly mind-boggling how many people participated in or facilitated his depravity, or simply looked the other way for financial gain. Lock them all up.

ETA: Including his own mother:

"Combs also allegedly phoned his mother to help convince the woman to take the money and not go to the police. The woman told Combs’ mother that he had raped her, the suit says; Combs’ mother was “unphased,” the lawsuit says."

That's a real Mother of the Year candidate.

It blows my mind that so many people condoned his behavior because of money. Sick and disgusting, the whole lot of them. I’m sure there are so many more well-known people who were complicit and it’s likely their names will never be known.

Lock them all up indeed! Name names. This kind of stuff needs to stop.

oh boy!!! Gloria is going to be busy - they are going to be standing in line at her office.

Were there not rumours of Usher being abused by Diddy? I would assume he, and others (Bieber is also a rumour) had a lot to lose by not speaking out against Diddy at that time.
If there are tapes of these abuses/crimes, I would think the reveal of them would be devastating for those involved. Men and women. I can understand the silence.
As an aside, I went back and read this thread from post #1. It was interesting.

Usher was definitely exposed to things kids shouldn’t be exposed to.

I’d be interested to know to what extent Usher was involved in Puffy’s misbehavior once he was old enough to know better. When you’re raised/groomed in an environment where this is “normal” goings on, it likely took a while to realize that it’s not normal at all.

I've lost count of how many people this monster has tortured in one way or another. I hope they fry him. Slowly. Very slowly.

Is this what's known as a preemptive strike on Foxx's part?

Jamie Foxx recently addressed whether Sean “Diddy” Combs was “responsible” for his mysterious hospitalization last year.

Three eyewitnesses who attended tapings of Foxx’s forthcoming Netflix special, “What Had Happened Was,” said he discussed allegations that Combs caused his hospitalization, but the audience members had different recollections of what the comedian said.

Choke claimed Foxx stated during the tapings that “Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].” However, it is unclear whether the alleged comments will be included in the final cut of the special.

“After [Foxx] said, ‘Diddy did something to me,’ he said, ‘And I’m the one who called the feds on him,'” Choke reiterated, hypothesizing that Foxx might have done so because he was “scared.”

“He disappeared, right? He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right? … We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the goddamn Dallas football game, right? And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy,” Choke claimed.

According to Choke, the stars appeared to be “bros” until something allegedly caused their relationship to sour.

When reached for comment by Page Six, Choke explained that he was shocked to hear Foxx allegedly make the claims out loud, as he and other industry insiders had previously heard the rumors.
