So, it is just as well that I had some nice presents, and actually wore my new amethyst earrings with my newest scarf. You have already seen it, but here it is again - Bateau Fleuri gavroche. Apologies for the awful face, but the meds are making me look frightful.

How unbelievably lucky to find this Sangles from a consignment store. I know you're not keen on brown but I think it looks great on you, love the corners

Here is part of the Vinci pattern. It was Francois Heron and I don't know how old this one is. I think it is based off some of Leonardo da Vinci's work, hence the name but I've forgotten the specifics. The coloring is kind of soft and has that sponged on watercolor look, less defined and then the very defined metallic parts over it.

The second pic I tried to pick up the metallic dyes of the scrolling. My Mythiques Phoenix gavroche also has metallic dye on it in bronze, and my Peuple du Vent bandana has silver metallic on it. I guess I like metallics!

Lots of mine have metallics too - who needs jewellery?

This consignment shop used to get 2 or 3 H scarves a year... all from the same lady, an elderly woman who apparently has (had???) quite a collection! But they haven't had any in over a year, so either that lady is no longer consigning scarves, or... alas... she is no longer with us and her scarf collection has passed on to her heirs (hopefully scarf-lovers!).

I have one of those from that shop.....it found a good home with me.

How beautifully you coordinate outfits, Hermes Hope, earrings and all.
You might find iolite a good stone to check out on the web and ebay. The Vikings used to use it as a primitive form of sunglasses to figure out where the sun was in relationship to their boat. Price is similar to amethyst. Iolite is a violet blue. Sellers from India offer it.

Thanks for posting the closeup photos bunnycat. How unusual this metallic on mousseline! I have a feux d'espaces twill that has a metallic dye..adds a localized thickness. Have you successfully washed this one?
