Grails (term comes from King Arthur legends) are rare and/or highly desired scarves that people often spend a lot of time hunting for and rejoice upon acquisition. The hunt is fun. Trying to avoid paying ridiculously high prices is also fun. There are some threads here about grails, but basically: there are a few scarves that everyone wants (Cave Felem is definitely one), and then people have personal grails also. I'm sure folks in the grail thread would love to hear how you got your Cave!

Thank you for the explanation momasaurus. I acquired this scarf from someone who wanted to clear her closet. Maybe she had no clue that it's a grail, so lucky me! This is also the first time I'm buying a preloved scarf. Wow, I have a treasure in my hands! [emoji7]

Thanks dear bunnycat!

Wow this is beautiful! Love the entire ensemble.

So pretty [emoji7]

Beautiful scarf, beautiful outfit, very successful selfie. I guess it is all in the angle. :smile1:

So pretty!

Thank you everyone for the compliments. It is ALL in the angle [emoji6]

MrsWasik: If you poke around eBay you will see high prices! Don't let that freak you out, though, or make you put it away in a bank vault, LOL. Enjoy your lovely scarf, which looks great on you. :D

And my two scarf goodies, Manufacturers and Zenobie along with my green theme silk that I wore during my trip Ors Bleus d'Afrique. Have a great holiday weekend all!

All of them are beautiful, lanit! Ors Bleus is a dream!

Look what came in the mail today -- just in time for Pastel Week!
Face Au Large -- figureheads on the prows of ships by Dominik Jarlegant, who also designed my turtle scarf, De Madras a Zykanthos. This is one of the softest, drapiest scarves ever!

Pretty in Rosé, ABQ!

Not sure if this is pastel or green week, you've seen most of my pastels but I wouldn't even know where to start with my green I have so many.

Here are my most recent editions

BT in green-gold (nothing like the colour pictured on h.com) and even more fitting because I was actually wearing it today

And not only green (in the border) but also my second only Hd'O design (theme from previous week)- Special Ed. charity Tatersale for the Queen's 90 Bday

Thank you for sharing and lucky you to get the special ed. of Tatersale, papertiger'

What a fun week with all those tender greens and pastels!
:dothewave::dothewave: You were all fabulous for spring!
Here comes the new Theme -- and don't forget that you can always go to the first page of the thread and see what's coming up!

Here's a hint for this week:

Great intro, as always, ABQ2ATL thank you!

This is a topic dear to my heart -- I spend a fair amount of time with a new scarf, holding it up to various tops, trying them on and tying the scarf different ways...
For example, I think it's interesting that matching one color to a top makes the others colors stand out, rather than emphasizing it.

OMG, you did a great job ABQ! Amazing!

Enjoy your bday celebration, Croisette! I love the colors in this Early America. I haven't seen this one before.

A belated thank you, dear Luvbolide!

Yellow Concours d'Etriers CSGM at the Hermès Pop up Café in Bond Street yesterday with DH and friends.
My second visit , who could resist those beautiful petits fours and teas served by equally beautiful waiters?

 the Dallet Carnets d'Equateur porcelain.
And :heart::cloud9::heart::heart: what a chance to get up close and personal with the amazing Henry Moore sculpture , never been on display to the public until it arrived in the rooftop courtyard here.

Twins on the yellow CdE, frou frou, you look so chic!

Trophées de Venise. I believe MYH enabled this one, and I thank her for that. This scarf is so versatile!

Congrats on your Trophées, moma! It's really a gem.

All the Modernisme Tropicaltalk and my own obsessive[ and possessive] love of Paperiger's beautiful Ochre colour way have prompted me to get mine out to play .
Here I tried it with jade green, denim blue and coral . My favourite is still the mustard ochre I posted on the Spring 16 thread so here it is again.

Momasaurusgood luck on MT shopping in Paris, I'll be interested which one you bring home [or which two!]

I love your cw, frou frou!

Actually have a little time to play with this week's theme today between doctors' appts. Here's Bal de Oiseaux with different tops:

Cheval turc scarf 90

Very smart on you, chris!

I was really looking forward to this week because I often feel like i struggle finding nice combinations for my tops and scarves, but have been swamped and barely had time to come and high 5 everyone!

Playing with Jeux de Paille, first with a lavender top, then with a striped one:

So chic with both outfits, bunnycat!

View attachment 3370932I am on theme, and proud of it! Please excuse messy hair etc....Here you have Coupons on a taupe tank dress, tiger lily orange tank top with LOTS of my voluptuous body, yellow tank top and "flagstone" tank top (looks like dark grey to me!). I think one of the background got in here twice because I was trying different knots. I showed the pictures to my husband who said "This is all the same scarf??!!". Which gave me the opportunity to point out just WHY Hermes scarves are so very valuable!

Hello everyone! No time to do the theme yet but here's my SOTD. Also, I want to post this because I finally figured out how to take a pic at an angle without double chin [emoji28]

Cave Felem.

Cave Felem, what a treasure you've got! And thank you for your compliment, MrsWasik.

Beautiful! I have yet to master the no double chin look!

Pretty CW! And perfect with that bangle!

Thank you scarf1.

Turquoise and rosé combo is always very appealing. Thanks for posting.

Cordeliere, thank you!

BdO is much more versatile than I thought initially, it can be so smart or joyously casual too

Congratulations, these colours are a wow

Very smart

Equally fine with both, lovely lovely scarf

Very smart on you, chris!

So chic with both outfits, bunnycat!

Well done, bobkat! Lovely colours of Coupons.

thank you papertiger and Croisette!

Yesterday was my birthday. Today went to SF and stopped into H. This came home with me.
Tendresse feline in CW 09 stole mousseline. Has a very pretty green border. Not normally a cat person, but this CW is gorgeous!
