What a fun week! I love seeing the variety of go-to knots people have. It's very easy to see from the pics that people choose things that work quickly and easily for them, but also that suits their innate styling.

My own go-to knots and ties vary according to format. I tend to like to merge the boundaries a little between jewelry and scarves. For me, twillies are one of the most perfect formats for this and so I use rings and cadenas to make that blend. The first is my newest love the Collections Imeriales twilly in pink, green and beige plus a couple of archive pics of other twillies with rings and cadenas. I think the second one is Mors et Jouets and the third is Bouclerie d'Attelage.

Very Nice

My go to knots the majority of the time with my CSGM's. The second picture is really just a slight variation on the first look. Trying today with my new Boulevards that I am still contemplating on whether to keep or not...at the suggestion at the lovely lanit, I am going to try it this week with various colored tops as opposed to my usual black. I will add that I do like the strong contrast of the shawl with my black tops as well. (my post on this subject/shawl are on the ode to CSGM thread :smile1:)

Very nice

I really love how you tied this in your first picture. I hope you keep it - I think it looks great on you!
Thank you so much canuckbaglover...still deliberating I'm afraid!

Wow, thank you atomic110, I hope to try this out right away!

Love all of your looks here lanit, both you and froufrou seem to possess this uncanny ability to tie your scarves with such ease and elegance. I am trying to get there!! Plus I still cannot get the chouchou knot to stop pouffing up into my face too much lol! !

I had to look up the chouchou knot -- I found a swell tutorial and it's really easy! http://www.aestheticalterations.com/2014/11/02/le-knot-chou-chou/
Scroll down for a lot of variatons -- there are some blank spaces in the scroll, so don't give up!

The difference between Chou Chou and Mai Tai's "Flower Knot" is that you only make one loop with CC, then pull the ends through and tie them around your neck. The Flower wants you to make a double knot and pull the opposite ends under the one you tied, leaving a fluffy "flower" in front.

I've used the Flower for gavroches (single or double); here with Fantaisies Indiennes and Regina
