Cosmos is one of my favorite scarves and my Cosmos in cherry red/pink with burgundy and aubergine purple is a super favorite. I've been rooting through the Mousseline thread and found a cool tie that they called "tods

And my Cosmos got a little moussie sibling recently (thanks to mt's authentication a couple of weeks ago...)

Pink moussie gavroche Cosmos (doesn't fit the theme, except that it makes me feel festive). :D

Lovely in leopard print with your pretty Cosmos and the new gavroche is dreamy , look forward to seeing you wearing it soon.

Score of Secret Santa! Just got these two lovely silks from a darling friend. Any of you silk experts know anything about "les armes de Paris"--it's vintage?View attachment 3221311

Lucky you, a Sieste and Armes , that's a good friend indeed!

Continuing my red and green theme with Festival des Amazones.

Gorgeous r ed with a white contrast hem ….I'm swooning !

Here is a scarf I acquired recently having been inspired by those two stylish ladies Momasaurus and Rosamonde.
It's incredibly useful ,being a reach silk to wear with a red jumper . I've worn a lot with my navy peacoat .
I love all the textures and those little gloves!
Here it is : Tout Cuir worn with my noisette hat as I set off to do some shopping.
So stylish and chic froufrou...I may have to take a look at this lovely design myself!!

What a treat croisette! Beautiful photos of both you and the windows!!

Then I thought it might slip so I tied the ends and added a kitten (makes for a wobbly picture)...Frieda's not sure why I kept bothering her with sitting in front of the mirror when she would rather try to climb through it....

What a nice friend, LL! My sources say "Les Armes de Paris" was designed as a 90 silk by Hugo Grygkar in 1954 (he didn't sign his scarves). The gavroche is much newer, of course, but I don't know how to keep up with those as we're seeing more design reissues all the time. (Mine is a gavroche too)
The ever-helpful Wikipedia says that the coat of arms of Paris shows a boat with the Latin motto "Fluctuat nec mergitur," translated in French as "Il est battu par les flots, mais ne sombre pas": "She is tossed by the waves but does not sink".
I think the design is really charming as it shows various embroidered versions of the coat of arms surrounded by needles and thread. (The official colors of the city are red and blue) :welcome:
