Yes, it makes me mad how it's poofing because of the way I'm stretching my arms to take selfie and I look like a 59 GGGGG. Ugh.

Speaking of dress, how do you like my Pirula Economics: my scarves make it possible for me to wear that dress to work (too much décolletage otherwise), thus lowering the cost per wear of that dress easily by a factor of 4. Ergo, my scarves are subsidizing themselves. Yessiree. [emoji736]

Pirula Economics = total genius. Warren Buffett, take note!

Here is mine. My sweet little Pierre's gavroche has pretty strings of pearls on it. I adore this little scarf....adore...

Bunnycat you look so cute with your gavroche and your dungaree outfit, just adorable!

Oh that's so pretty bunnycat!

Okay, that's it. I need a scarf with pearl strings. Period. Full stop.

You don't hide your lovely face! Fair warning, next scarf reveal will be avec face, because I'm so done looking goofy and misshapen. I have zero headless selfie skills.

Wait, wait; how did you do that lovely knot please bunnycat?

Pirula, my charming 14yr old son saw one of my headless selfies for this forum the other day and said,"You can still tell you are old, from your neck!" Isn't he adorable? Just love me a teen boy!

Thank you Pocketbook Pup, Pirula and Bostonjetset!!!

Pirula- I decided it was easier to just take new pics of the "how to" on this than try to remember which thread I originally found these directions in. So- to whomever it was here on tpf that originally posted the instructions- thank you! This is a really fun way to wear a gavroche (and also bandana size).

Lay it out like you are going to make the flower knot. instead of tying the corners on the back side, cross them over each other so you can pass them around to the front.

View attachment 3029078

Then, flip the scarf over, and tie a small knot on the front side with the two corners you passed around. All you have to do at this point is pull the loose ends a little to lengthen it enough to put around your neck and tie it off.

Bunnycat, thank you so much for these instructions, will try them out soon, possibly very tightly round teen son's neck (see above). 😜

Thank so much bunnycat! Will have to try that.

Croisette how gorgeous. So vivid.

Pudfish, I have a teen boy too. They're....interesting. [emoji6]

Bunnycat, thank you kindly for the technique. Will try soon.

Yesterday's look...Le Tarot. Linen shirt, as The Heat is On in North Texas.

John in DFW

John, you look so distinguished in Le Tarot! Love the scarf and love the look with a linen shirt.

Inspired by the jewellery theme and in particular by KateKluet who showed some lovely details from her scarves, here are some jewellery "close ups". I did conclude that in my scarf collection it's the horses that get to wear the jewellery! Look, in Songe de Licorne as well as all the jewelled belts this horse seems to be wearing earrings. I suppose they have the ears for it, so why not?

Anyone know if there is a monkey in this scarf, as I understand Annie Faivre usually hides one View attachment 3028208View attachment 3028210View attachment 3028211somewhere?

I love a man that can rock some bling, here Pani La Shar Pawnee shows us all how to accessorise with necklace, silver rings, scarf and a lovely bow arrangement on his arm. It's important when one is a Warrior Chief to keep in touch with one's softer side..

Here my Monsier et Madame II gavroche features among other things, cufflinks, bracelets and a watch chain....one of my few brand new direct from Hermès scarves, spontaneously* bought for me by my husband for a Valentine's Day present last year.

*at gunpoint, escorted to computer, credit card surgically removed from wallet ..

Pudfish, you shared some gorgeous close-ups of Songe de Licorne and MetM. Love them both so much and happen to be twins with you! Thank goodness, as these are the kinda pictures that make me go gaga! I love the stately and serious Pani La Shar Pawnee too. Actually, I read your last sentence and thought maybe you showed your DH the PLSP's stern look and it made him hit the 'buy' button quickly!

I wore my Tapis Persans GM yesterday in cw 13 Vert/Noir/Brique Papf but failed to take a pic.
Next time...

Here it is not being worn –*with Toro, of course, who will never be denied a photo op. (sorry for the blurry pic!)

JetsetGo, what a beautiful Tapis...my favorite cw! However, Toro definitely steals the show! He is just darling!!! He reminds me so much of my little guy, especially when mine was a baby and had longer hair. Mine is a Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu. I can see your little guy has the same big personality! :smile1:

So cute, Bunny! Is this a mousseline gavroche? Love those little pearls.

Vitamina, are you watching women's soccer? Your CdeC is a beauty.

Thank you, dear Maedi! I haven't watched a single match! How about you? Maybe I will try to catch a game this weekend though. :smile1:

Oh Ladies, you are a dear bunch of enablers!
Look what you did to me: Last weeks "Brights" theme made me reconsider "Les Jardins d'Andalousie" in a cw I would not have dared before. This is a photo fresh out of the box, first time playing with it. It already like it very much: goes well with many things I have, ties well and is cheerful for summer. More pics may follow...:D

HoneyLocks, so happy we could enable you to purchase this gorgeous Les Jardins d' Andalouisie. Those colors are phenomenal! It looks so pretty in the waterfall knot! A really special and perfect summer scarf for sure!

Oh honey locks you are so good with colors. I'm terrible. I'll have to try purple. The Kelly is Colvert blue which is blue with green undertones. It looks more blue or green or even dark turquoise depending on what I wear it with and the light

Ok here's mine.View attachment 3028740View attachment 3028742View attachment 3028743

Pirula and Pocketbook Pup, you both look so lovely! I love reading the dialogue between the two of you! Yep, totally relate to the whole selfie 'uggghhh' feeling!

Thanks for reminding me why I don't have children. I might be in prison for strangling him.

Yeah, but see, then they do something really random like I dunno, buy you an H scarf for Mother's Day or randomly come up and give you a hug and you die of love all over again. [emoji4]. Still, they can be a real.....something. I hear teen girls are worse, so I'll count my lucky stars.

Sigh, no H scarf today. I wonder if I'll ever reach the summits of tpf Hermes scarfdom and have enough of them for daily use? Lol probably. [emoji12]

No scarf for me today either. I almost feel naked leaving the house without one.

You know what might be a good thread, but cost us even more money? Which scarf would you suggest I wear with this outfit? Or alternatively how would you pair this scarf?

Croisette, that looks marvellous, it is not a design I have ever really coveted before but of course now....Me thinks that you are able to carry off wonderfully all types of H scarves, the traditional symmetricals and the modern asymmetrical fantasticals, all of them! And you make them look so fresh and modern...I think it's partly because you match them so well with your clothes, like this striped top, and partly because you tie them in an unfussy yet elegant way. End of my little love poem to you it's getting embarrassing!! 😍😍😍 In fact what I just wrote applies to all the lovely scarfies on this forum, all of you, I tell you !!! you all rock Le Scarf!

Songe is newish to me I have not actually worn it yet - oh dear, terrible confession to make..

LOL! If I avoid murdering Teen Son before he reaches 20, I will have achieved Perfect Parenting 😜 I will publish a best-selling parenting book entitled "How to bring up Teenage Boys and Avoid Doing Time."

Yes but the rare times he is sweet I worry that the real Teen Boy has been abducted by aliens or that he has consumed 8 sugary drinks on the way home from school or...

I am also sans scarf today as warm and muggy, I feel like a Traitor to the Cause, am expecting a knock on the door at any time from the TPF secret police 🚐

Increases my admiration for all you Scarfies in warmer climes who wear scarves...
