Holsby, thank you for sharing this photo. I can almost smell the flowers just looking at the screen.

It's gorgeous, Sparklelisab! I am so aware of all the design components on it (feathers! leopard!) after the Julia Abadie week :D

Bunnycat, this is lovely! Makes me think of mint ice cream...I wish I had some in the freezer right now! :) Love your Hapi also.

Edit: adding in because I think I missed your tutorial. I must try it with my MT! Thank you so much for detailed instructions.

Joannadyne, gorgeous! Love the green and the pink together. Bright and fresh.

What a great twin photo, Scholastican. Both MTs are lovely.

Oh Canuck, where are you located? The mere thought of cashmere makes me uncomfortable right now, I wish I were somewhere cooler. It's a beautiful shawl, however, and the combination of the pinks with khaki (or is it green?) is very becoming.

JRTGal, this is a beautiful scarf. Wear it in good health.

I have already shown this Amours mousseline, but I mostly wanted to show it together with my DVF Hoya dress in Palace Tiger Red (doesn't the name remind you guys of Tigre Royal?) to double up on the brightness. I may have mentioned I like red  (no worries, the rest of the outfit and makeup was very subdued).

As usual, featuring my giant sportswatch because I am basically wearing the thing 24/7 now because of all the training. At least it's red and matches the outfit!

Thank you, AnnaE! I love how elegant and chic your odj is. And your mousseline, le sigh...:girlsigh:

Good Morning Silkies,

Welcome to a new week and forgive my absence the last week. I can see I have missed 20 pages of Delight!!

This week, we celebrate BRIGHT scarves. Some of us Neutral lovers might find it difficult to partake, but remember, all H silk is welcome!!

Even though I have many rich, saturated silks, I do not find most of them "bright." But this one, to me, is my brightest scarf!! Casques et Pluetts with fire orange!!

Love this!! Twins!! Funny you call this bright... I think of it as a neutral with just a pop of color. Hahaha :).

Gorgeous sparklelisa! I love bright pops of orange in a scarf like that!

I'll get the ball rolling with a crossover. Brazil MT in menthe. That's definitely a pretty saturated and "in your face" kind of green. :smile1: Very "springy".

You sure are making the MT tempting..that green is beautiful!! And love that it's a "crossover" scarf!! :)

I love brights!

:sunshine::sunshine:

Two of my brightest:

Graff Hermes and Photo Finish

Wow!! Mod pic of graft please! :)

Here is my one bright scarf (Zebra Pegasus), tied two ways - the first is the Chou-Chou and the second is my wobbly attempt at the ***. (Thanks to arabesque's knot tutorials!)

Beautiful scarf and amazingly tied knots!! I couldn't only hope to accomplish more knots one day. Lol ;(

Hello lovely scarfies!

I have thoroighly enjoyed seeing your sumptuous silks, and how you have turned them into wearable art :smile1: I hope it is ok to join in this week's bright theme. The brightest from my collection are both in the MT format - KACHINAS in bouton d'or/mysotis/vert and rose/vert/bleu :sunshine:

More MTs to enable me?? Nooo... These colors are darling!! :)

Not a bright at all... But a 70 for last week's theme. :). H commes H blanc/noir/Gris Bleute. I'm a sucker for Gris Bleute.

OOO. Jp, your scarf is beautiful, and look at your skirt!!! It's gorgeous. Who made it, if you don't mind my asking? It looks beautiful on your slim frame. And of course your rockstuds go so well with it. I really like how it is your signature shoe.

If you guys think that my dress and scarf match -- check out these silk gloves (last year's issue) with the same scarf! Different designs and different issue years, but they go really well together in an outfit!

Omg! Look at all these treasures you have. So glad you have joined us here. Those gloves with the scarf are everything!!

Love this cw of Zebra Pegasus, Joanndyne! I think your knots look perfect! Great job!

Hello lovely scarfies!

This is one pretty picture, Scholastican!

Bright Scarf week couldn't have been more perfectly timed - it is a grey, cold and rainy day here. A little Flamingo Party shawl to add some cheer, colour (and warmth)!:smile1:

Canuck
, you look fabulous in your FP shawl! Love the colors on you and love your jacket too!

Despite pitiful selfie skills (so many trashed photos featuring neck and chin that must belong to someone else, I'm sure of it!) I am determined to try to share something in return of for all the helpful pics I've pored over here.

This is my new-to-me Pavois which I think of as on-theme despite a lack of red/orange/neon, etc. The background is stark white and the whipping flags of turquoise and bright green make me ridiculously happy. Sorry..the pic is GIGANTIC.

JRTgal, the one little kiwi colored flag really caught my eye! Love this color so much!

This is very easy! Instead of tying it like you would to make it in to an infinity scarf just tie it so it has "tails". You should still be able to wrap it a couple of times. It does mostly stay put, but you may have to move it around a little now and then. But if you criss cross (twist) the wraps once you have wrapped it, and make the knot sit on top of the crossed wraps instead of under, it tends to rest there better. Hope that made sense.

The slightly more difficult way to tie it is so the knot is adjustable (which I how I usually do them).

This is start of the adjustable knot I use for most things that are going to have a tail:

View attachment 3015090

Put the other end through so it faces the opposite direction of the tail that has the knot in it:

View attachment 3015091

you can tighten from either side of the knot. If you tighten the tail, you get a longer tail, so if you want less tail, tighten the side that runs up in to the scarf length. That's why I do this knot, because I often goof on how much tail I need (and you don't need a lot)

Stick it over you neck and wrap it! Then gently "braid" the wraps a couple of times to twist the wrap and make sure to place the knot and tail up on the topside.

Thank you for your kind comments! :flowers:

Beautiful color of Brazil MT, dear Bunny!

Gorgeous mousseline and DVF dress, AnnaE!

Pocketbook Pup, the MaxiTwilly is a fun format and I am glad I finally bought one!

Thank you Vitamina H! - Happy to be enabling! :graucho:
I am posting this picture for you (Off Topic): Finally the bumblebees and bees are seeking for nectar in the apple blossoms! This was a sunny and rather warm day in the end of May!

My dear Holsby, thank you so very much for this beautiful photo! :smooch:~ Nature in all its glory! I think much better weather is heading my way this week after a really rainy day yesterday! Yay!!

Love your CetP, Lisa! The orange is a dynamite shade on you!

Here's a 70 scarf tied to reveal the name and the brand.: I know I'm a goofball. Am actually wearing it like a normal person.

So very cute, Moma! Love the colors on you!

Well , off topic but had to share with my scarf buddies my euro moussie purchases:
Point d'orgue in pinks (140) with wonderful fuschia hem bought in Milan and
Charmante des animaux in stole format - mostly green bought at FSH

Scarf1, congrats on your latest treasures! I have a CdA on hold for me in a different cw. I would love to see your modeling pictures in your gorgeous green cw. Also, I have mousselines, but only the 140 size and not the stole size. Do you prefer one size over the other or do you enjoy both sizes in their own ways? Your thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks!

I love brights!

Two of my brightest:

Graff Hermes and Photo Finish

Pursecrzy, you have one of my all time favorite scarves....ever!!!:woohoo::woohoo::yahoo::yahoo: That being Graff! I am crazy about your cw and would be so honored if you had time to post a mod shot. I have four color ways of the Graff Twilly, but no scarf:sad:. So sad I was too late on this one!

Decided to wear the brins d'or on an otherwise boring basic black outfit today

WillstarveforLV, this is such a eye catcher. This will make a basic outfit into an extra special outifit! You selected a great cw!

Not a bright at all... But a 70 for last week's theme. :). H commes H blanc/noir/Gris Bleute. I'm a sucker for Gris Bleute.

You look really cute, JP, and I am loving your map skirt! It looks great with your H Comme and of course your killer RS! We are sisters on this scarf too. This was the scarf that started my love with Converse!

Thank you all for making last week so riveting! I was entranced by the new formats ,as yet I have none to share but seeing those maxitwillies made me want to dive into H to try!

Love me a bright , and this Concours d'Etriers shawl is just the ticket for the chilliness of our weather .
Off to Kew Gardens for the day so shall try to post some brights from there later:bulb:

Ok, what I am actually wearing today. Need to practice hotel selfies....
Charmante Animaux moussie and my new white clic-
Vitamina I also tried on the blue/ purple one, but thought it was too similar to my rose compass.

I just have one 140, and it is the pink moussie, so can't really answer your question n pros/cons of stole vs. 140. I do find the stole easy to just throw on. here are 2 ways to wear it.
