Kathrin, I love this scarf, though I have it in a different color. It ties like a dream. But as others say, buy only the scarves you absolutely love. Collections grow out of control even when applying that rule.
In an attempt to not have 300 scarves still in boxes my new rule is that if I don't 100% love it I don't buy it. If you want to collect it's one thing. If you want to use all of your scarves you should love it.
Well, I think it's pretty and looks great tied. Plus the 70s are just dreamy. But I don't know, I just posted something similar and should maybe take my own advice here: if you don't love it, don't get it.
Dear Pirula, dear Pocketbook Pup, dear arabesques: thank you SO much for your answer and especially for the pictures! I made "hüaaaaaaaaa" seeing the worn scarf.
As I am totally new to the orange side of life, I try to stick to that rule as well- actually I thought, I would be fine having one maxi twilly, a week later I called the store and bougt the second one... and the rest is history

My wishlist grows on a daily basis (atually the Kawaii bracelets are online.... I starred at them yesterday for a long time). I am not a collector-type when it comes to scarfs, shoes or bags, I am an "use and carry around"-type. So your advice, only to buy the things I totally love was really the one, that helped me making my decision: I lovelovelove that scarf. I need to have it (especially after I saw it on you dear arabesques!).
The only moment I had about that scarf was, that beeing a true Bavarian (yes,!) living in a very small Bavarian village where St. Leonhardi takes place (and it is a hughe thing over here) I am feeling a little bit reluctant about carrying my Bavarian soul too much outside of my body... Hard to describe... I love Bavaria from the buttom of my heart, but sometimes the traditional way of living here causes me serious headaches and moments of frustration. So it was not about the design, it was about me.
So I'll call the shop today, will pick up the scarf in a few weeks and then provide you with pictures of the "welcome home scarf"-day.
Thank you so much!
For arabesques: here are a few pictures, how St. Leonhardi looks like here (which means the place I live, the pictures are from the village I live):*
