Wearing possibly my only truly holiday scarf today, full of a romanticised splendour and unbelievable detail. LPaM in a colour I don't see often, sort of pale golden apricot and tonal shades. Practically a neutral on me and very evocative. I wonder at the way H has done cws of this design, some that really make parts looks illuminated.

This is the most glorious colorway of LPaM that I've ever seen! I just feel like jumping into my computer screen and going to old Moscow for a time travel visit.

A few images from Traineaux et Glissade which has some lovely snow, ice & sleighs. It's on the Fate-2-B-Decided pile because after our "What was I Thinking" week, I sorted out all my murky tones and mid-browns for year-end review.

SOTD is In the Canadian Wild in a very Christmassy green and red cw, tied to show the little white fox at my throat.

Beautifully knotted. That little white fox is just perfect!

PdS is a beauty in every single cw! Such a spectacular look with your fur!
Thank You so much fifi, no suprise though, that you see the color, material and contrast.
I took the picture today while flying.
I fly quite frequently. I feel, that a H scarf is as it's best, when connected to aviation.Suitable for a formal uniformlike outfit and flight attendants wear a scarf, anyway.
Plus, I love navy and different hues of light blues combined to white, so many vintage Hermes scarves have these vibes and they attract me.
There is no fashion for aviation but there certainly is a style for it. But it is not seen at the airports anymore.
A silk scarf is a rare sight actually.

Before I owned my Neige d’Antan and Joies d’Hiver, this was my holiday silk. The pic of me sitting in the car with the blue blouse was on our way to an Advent vigil service last Sunday.
fifi, you take the most mesmerizing pictures! I love Les Merises and only wish it loved me back! At least I get to do the 'girlsigh' thing while staring at my screen....and avoiding a few chores, LOL!

LOL! Thank you so much, textilegirl! I love photography and swear that I look better in pictures than IRL. I also stare at my screen and dream a lot when I see the beauties posted here. And, are you sure about you and Les Merises? It’s such a great scarf! Maybe try a different cw than what you’ve tried in the past?

I totally agree with you Ninakt. Scarves are a MUST for the traveler. I never fly without one. I worked for over 30 years for a major airline and traveled all over the place, always with my scarves around my neck or in tow. I also like to use them to cover my mouth from fowl odors and germs on airplanes.... both so practical and so pretty!
