litchi, thank you so much!I'm drawn to the blues in this beautiful CSGM.
I love both!! Are they favourites of yours?![]()
Okay, I talked big at the first of the week about my love for turquoise scarves... my taste tends to run to the green shades of turquoise rather than aqua, but I'll take all comers! Here are some for this week's collex:
Isn't life interesting.. Bunnycat finally found her perfect grail Amours and so did I, but they're different colors -- here's mine in a robin's egg turquoise-y blue with silvery bells!

And here's another version of my first H scarf, Au Fil de Soie, this time in turquoise:

And Faubourg by Night, another grail I let pass me by too many times before I pounced:

ABQ2ATL, you do have some beautiful examples of turquoise here! I must admit that I never paid much attention to Au Fil de la Soie until I paused to examine your posting---I'm totally captivated by the details in this scarf! I love the silk story as it winds around the scarf from the silkworm larva to the skein (with the angel and silk carpet!) and the weavers with their looms, moths circling around…camels on their way west, the mulberry tree. Oh, I get it now! Of course, AF is the mistress of details and story telling, isn't she? Incredibly beautiful. I would love to see this IRL. Lucky you to own such a wonder. [emoji7]Was, unfortunately, very busy these last few weeks - and this thread is just soo fast...However, this week's theme is brilliant and I enjoyed all your turquoise beauties tremendously!
At the last moment I would like to share my latest new to me turquoise scarf: Pani La Shar Pawnee pointu in Madras silk taffeta with tiny silver stearup and horseshoe at the ends (the second pic show the amazing colours of this pointu quite well):

Bring that gorgeous Lumieres back this week, xincinsin!Squeezing in under the finish line. I held off on posting because the colours kept coming up all blue in the photos until today's attempt.
The gondolas in Bissone are drifting on turquoise waters and there is a turquoise inner border framing it. Lumieres has lovely luminous aqua angel wings and stained glass.

Thank you, bruxelles and litchi! I've been told that Au Fil de la Soie is the Silk Road story (look at the Etoffes in the lower left corner too), but I'd love to know more identification details -- let me know if there are explanatory posts elsewhere. The scarf is from 1995.ABQ2ATL, you do have some beautiful examples of turquoise here!
